I can sometimes send data, but it doesn't normally grab my profile data. I am logged in on WoWReader. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. Any idea what I can do to fix this? Thanks!

Try deleting the WowReader SavedVariables file. By default, this would be: "C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\<account>\SavedVariables\Wr2.lua".

I have been having the same problem as luvtolindy - WoWReader will always run, check for updates, and then not open the UI.

Deleting the SavedVariables file seemed to fix it though - thanks! Although I lost all of my pending data.

If anybody wants my SavedVariables file to see what the problem was, let me know.

Everything about my profile updated this past time just fine, except my bag contents. It updated my level and everything I had gained my last play session just fine, but the bags still show what they had in them (as well as what bags I'm USING) prior to my play session. WoWReader itself reports that there is no more data to upload.

Edit: Ne'er mind. Well, sort of. I renamed the Wr2.lua file and went into WoW and then quit WoW, and it updated my bags just fine. I say sort of because one shouldn't have to do this to get it to work ;)

I installed WowReader and tried to run the application. Every time I do, I get the message:

"Error writing wowreader.exe: Access to the path C:\Program Files\WoWReader\_wowreader.exe is denied."

Has anyone else had this problem?

Can someone tell me why all my data in the main window for my character is correct, stats and everything but if i do a profile search which lists all hunters in on my server none of the data in the list that shows my character is correct. example: hp 6900 actual 7620 agility 338 actual 402 etc.. just seems to be in profile search.

Not sure what's causing it - but I get the same thing. Using Vista 64-bit (Which I'm guessing is the culprit).

Ah - If you right click and select 'Run As Administrator' it should work (Well it did for me).

Hope this helps.

Getting this error. I use FuBar and have FactionFu installed. I also posted on their page, not sure where the issue is.

[2007/05/09 13:01:51-117-x1]: FuBar_FactionsFu-2.2\FuBar_FactionsFu.lua:371: table index is nil

Wr2\Wr2.lua:128: in function `WrFrame_OnEvent'

On a side note, the Download Wowreader link to the forum post links to an older locked version of the thread. :)

The Black Temple Patch (patch 2.1.0) has made the WoW Reader out of date and the reader needs to be updated.

i had to actually uninstall the whole WoW game then install it again as the wowreader had installed over the top of the wow.exe file

I noticed a whole bunch of "skipping akz_DoMerchant" messages in my chat window when selling items to a vendor.

I tracked the culprit down to Wr2.lua line 935. I'm pretty sure that line shouldn't be there since it just outputs text to the chat window when using a vendor so I removed it.

It should be removed or commented out in the release version.

I have the same error message. I finally figured out it was WowReader causing the error.

Hopefully it will be fixed soon. :)

Thanks, that message shouldn't have been showing in the release version. It's been fixed now, so you can just restart wowreader to let it update.
