Hey All,
In Stormwind, in the Canals just before Old Town there is something that appears to look like an Instance. It has the blue swirls like an entrance to an instance but it is behind a big metal gate.
Just wondering if anyone knows where this leads or what it's there for?

You mean the castle that looks like Stockades but is stranded in the water instead of being joined? Someone once told me it was like a prison or something....
Or do you mean the one at the end of the canal next to the flower shop? (Yes, the flower shop)

When the Humans build Stormwind City they opened a portal to "the water realm" half of the city were destroyed that day, but then a paladin ran into "the water realm" and destroyed it with 107 "Dark Iron Bombs" before he used bubble and hearthstoned out. In the next expansion or a patch in TBC they will open it again..

I didn't think there was a way to get in there seeing as there are a bunch of bars in front of the portal. Are we talking about the same place?
From the gates of SW (coming from Elywnn Forest) go to the center of the trade district (just before the auction house). Then hang a right as if you were going to Old Town. When you're in the Canals hang a right. (Don't cross the canal though).
You should see a gate with what appears to be a portal or instance.
From the sounds of the last post it looks like they're going to open it up in Burning Crusades though. Should be intresting to see what they come out with.

Atm, it's not actually an instance. Just for show but I do know how to get behind it. Requires no hacks or mods or whatever. Just requires you knowing how to do it. :p

Something tells me they're referring to the Sewers...aye, behind every giant grate in town is a portal.
The instance in the middle of the water, stranded. Is a prison for powerful criminals. Sorcerers....demons...etc... I think.

The one with bars in front of it is just for show, it was the planned location for player housing, I believe. Walking into the portal does nothing, even if you can get past the bars.

Don't think they will be opened for TBC . I'm not from beta btw , so...
It may be the 'instanced' housing that Blizzard has thought of adding in later patches. *Maybe*
LOL, i know how to get behind there too, but the first time i did it i took a stupid step in the "grey area".After 20 mins of falling my hearthstone reset,so all was good....Tip:You need a mount and to know exploits near the SW FP....

It's super easy to get back there and NO you do not need a mount. We are talking about going UNDER SW right? Not that I ever did.....
I was at one of those weird gaming centers where all the uber-nerds go, and I think he got in the prison because he was soloing some inside place that looked like a brighter stocks (one shotting everything). At the time I thought it was Stocks, so I didn't really pay attention to it; there were voidwalkers, and some other stuff. Can't really remember. Anyone know where this is?
its the one across the water is another stocks but it holds the ....uber creatures that more than likely hold magic abilities. I wonder if its gonna be a 5man or a raid dungon. Would be fun to bring people to SW and keep ironforge less laggy.
