I apologize if this has been asked before. I scanned a few pages of posts but not the whole thread.

I'm level 31 and started doing AB for fun and PVP practice.

Question: Is it a faux pas to be participating at this low level?

I noticed I was the lowest one in the BG and started to worry that maybe I shouldn't have joined yet.

Lukoi, I am of the opinion its your game, join any Ab or any BG and play all you want.

I do have to say when I join as lets say a 29, and most of my team-mates are in the low 20's, I kind of sigh to my self. (not always)... but it usualy means a loss is upcoming.

I asked the same question a long time ago myself. I would suggest being a middle weight or better ( like a 25 or better in the 20-29 bracket) or, thats what I do at least.

Caster classes, Hunters (ranged DD), and especially healers can do more for the team unit at lower levels, as they can move around. But as far as getting up close they die fast. This is a generalized statement, but you see what I mean. As a young priest I was in AV fast as possible... no one complains about heals. But then AV is a mess usually, so it either works or it dont, lol.

Again, I say join and learn, to have fun. Its your game. I have never bad mouthed any low-level people who are in the group. Its just the higher the level, the more likely to win, when the people are 1/2 way or better in the level bracket. Just looking at the: (abilities/ hp/ mana/ armor) ect.

Just my two cents.

Now, I have a question, short and sweet.

At level 20 Druid's the "stealthy" cat form. With talents, we get (I think) 30% faster travel in this lvl 20 form. (No, I am not talking about the lvl 30 cat form).

So, does minor speed on boots increase this already quick "staelthy" cat? (ie:does it stack with talents)... I am thinking of stoping my druid and 28 or so and staying in the bracket a while, not as a twink, just as a hobby.

if the boots only give minor speed while in caster form, then I will save the gold...

How do you get that ivory raptor? I saw the raptor vendor in Senjin village and he was willing to accept an old ivory raptor and trade it for a new one.

Is this from a quest? Raid?

Appears to be the old version of the mount before the new skins came out. If you don't have one already, I don't think you can get one.

The rogue cat form gives you no innate speed boost.

It can appear that you are running faster because your character is low to the ground (like a gnome), but to confirm all you have to do is run alongside a few others folks and you'll see you are going no faster than them.

Eventually, you get dash, which is just like rogue sprint. It's a 15 second 50% speed boost with a cooldown.

From what I understand the minor speed enchant stacks with Bear Form, Dire Bear Form, Cat Form, Moonkin Form but doesnt stack with Aquatic Form, Travel Form, or Ghost Wolf (shaman)

When the game first came out the level 60 mounts did not have all the special gear that they do now. When they introduced the new mounts they put in a system allowing those who already had epic mounts to trade in their old model for one of the new ones.

My experience with this is from the alliance side. Many months ago I saw a level 60 NE riding a black cat. My human rogue had been working on getting his Darnassus reputation up high enough to buy a cat mount. So I was familiar with the cat mounts that were available and that black one wasn’t one of them. I sent a tell to the rider and he was kind enough to reply back and explain that his was one of the old style mounts and he chose not to trade it in for one of the new models. I was disappointed, as I felt his was the best looking of the lot. If you ever want to see what his mount looks like, visit Darnassus and look at the black cats the guards are riding.

LBRS= Lower Blackrock Spire
ST= Sunken Temple
SM= Scarlet Monastery

There's also:
WC= Wailing Caverns

BFD= Blackfathom Deeps
ZF= Zul'Farrak
UBRS= Upper Blackrock Spire
Scholo= Scholomance

What are the level ranges from those instances?

Just scroll down to the instance section and it'll give you a level range for all the instances.

Hi, here's a noob question
-me and my two friends want to start playing WoW, and was wondering if it is even remotely efficient to trio to 60. Any advice for the three of us regarding this subject? Thanks

Absolutely, If you pick a group with all different types you guys will be able to rock the casbah, You dont have to pick a set group. But generally you will need someone who can take damage, someone who can deal damage, and someone who can heal.

Priest, warrior, mage - But you can do it any number of ways.

I'll elaborate further

Tank: Warrior, Paladin, Shaman, Druid

Healer: Priest, Paladin, Shaman, Druid

Damage: Mage, Hunter, Warlock, Rogue

But if played right, the tanking pets for hunter and warlock can serve as your 'tank', though probably not the most reliable kind.

Hi guys ^^

I'm playing a LV36 Pally, and I've been playing some serious Arathi Basins.

Question:
Is there a quicker way to raise my reputation with the Arathors, other than playing AB over and over?

Thanks a million.

Nope.
The only way to raise your rep in AB is to play AB. But if you can find a 30-39 PvP group to play with, you'll be able to win alot more games, and faster, which can really speed up your rep gain. If you really want AB rep, your best option is to make or get into a group to queue for AB.

premades = win.
coordination and tactics > skill > gear
if you have all 3, you will win every game. fast.

just a little example:
i don't pvp much. me and a friend joined ab just for fun. i have no rank ambition. we were defeated 5-0 in about 3 minutes. it was humiliating.
the opponents were a premade (all from frostwolf eu, a well-known pvp server) in t3 gear. one warrior had corrupted ashbringer and the others were on a similar level. now, my gear is reasonably good too (see my sig), so the difference wasn't what did it. they were just completely organised and coordinated and they owned us so bad i had to laugh =)

More than anything, that's the best advice you can get for trying to rep up in a bg.

Your premade may lose a few times at first as you start to get up your coordination and strategies, but you'll quickly come to dominate every match you're in. You can even make a significant difference by getting a partial premade(5 people to start out with is good) and adding members as you go along.

It's also recommended that you have Vent or TS up for your group. Faster coordination = win.

Yes, I've seen this type of thing happen a lot. I've even seen (embarrassingly, been part of...) teams in Tier2/2.5/and some Tier 3, get absolutely humiliated by a very experienced PvP team in blues. Most raiding guilds will never admit when this happens or they'll make excuses as to how it wasn't their 'A' team or they only had like 3 members of said guild in the BG.

But believe me, it does happen and I have been a victim of this. It is VERY humbling as an and epiced out raider to be made into noobs by a coordinated PvP team in early PvP blues. You should just hear Vent of the said raiding guild getting wtfpwned, so frusterating, so humiliating, so much hate and anger..haha

So yes, that is very very true

Coordination > Skill > Gear

In reality, gear doesn't matter nearly as much as everyone thinks.

Obviously, if a skilled epixed out raiding guild fought a skilled PvP guild in blues, it would be not contest, but that aside from the point.

I'm not new, but I have a newb question:

How long does maintanance last if your server was not part of the extended maintanance? lol

I normally work during this time (which is why I dont know when it is normally over), but I took half a day off to go vote, and little did I know...there were no lines!! So I am back home now, and wondering if I will get a chance to check my auctions before I have to go to work. Thank you!

Usually until around 11:00 - noonish; sometimes earlier, sometimes later. But I guess this depends on your time zone.

Oh yeah, and that's all on the same day - Tuesday.
