Do the gates of Ahn'Qiraj ever close?

I meant where all the low guys spawn over the continents, and do you ever have to gather the materials again to reopen?

So if i get this right, the op wants to know if we will ever see a second "World Event" like the one we went though to get the gates open. The awnser is no. So much of WoW is static,as if it never happend. Kill rend black hand and get his soward, the next day you get a buff for somebody else killing him....that shouldnt make work right... well it is a static world, not a lot changes(in this case just say good old vic rezed rend). Every now and then something is put in the game that is not static they are world events, they will not happen again. To date the only two i know of are the AQ war effort and the scourge invation, if you missed them you are screwd. AQ event offerd a chance for folks to get a epic mount for those running BWL. for the rest of us it gave a chance to get craplooads of rep. The scourge event was a bigger loss IMHO, that had a great 3 peice set for killing undead, and a great chance to get in good with AD.

And if I wanted pure nothing I would have just asked a ****** like you in game. As I wanted an actually answer as someone gave me, I posted here thinking maybe people like you weren't smart enough to post. So thanks crazygerman for no help and for taking this game as it is all your life consists of, get a life ftw

Uhm, once AQ gates have been opened and Naxx has appeared in EP they are there for anyone to got to, as far as I know, is that what you meant ?

Leveling up fast for 58-60 just in case blizzard decides to make the opening of the Dark Portal a world event, I'm not going to miss another one, thank you ;)

BTW, a blue has said in the wow forums that they plan to make the scourge invasion a recurring event. It happens for all levels though, so no matter what level you happen to be you'll get to participate. Also, they will have a world event for the opening of the dark portal, but a couple days ago a blue (Drysc I think) said they learned a lot from the AQ opening and the massive lag that made it almost impossible to experience...said they plan to make the dark portal opening more of a world wide event rather than make every person gather in one zone.


Once the AQ gates are open, however, it cant happen again. There is a pretty cool quest like you go through from turning in the Broodlords head that shows the gates being closed originally. Has some really cool graphic animations.

Trust me, you lost out on nothing by missing the gates opening. Unless you're partial to unbearable lag and repeated crashes of Kalimdor, you didn't miss much.
