I tried to make a WC run, but the game wouldn't let us go into the instance -_-;;;;
after that the server announced that it would shut down temporarily in 15 min. so that the instances would be reset or whatever. That was an hour ago. I still can't log back in.

didn't read the whole thread, looks like most of its some form of complaint anyways.....
all i want to know is if anyone else is having issues logging in at all. the farthest i've gotten is where it says retrieving characters, then it kicks me off and says disconnected from server at the login page.....

$15 a month/roughly 31 days=about 48 cents a day

Full calculation X atleast 1500 (based on pop. average) people a server=roughly $725.81

Full calculation X 28 servers "officially down"=roughly $20322.58

So for this one day, and for giving a one-day extension to the "offically down" servers, Blizzard is losing about $20322.58 as a fair estimate.

So you can atleast take a little consolation that they must be atleast trying to get the servers back up since they are willing to give up extra $$ for this down time.

Btw if they extend this to all North American servers (since all seem to be down) then that would equal roughly $72581.50

If ALL WoW servers r down ad they extend this offer to them then the tally will be nearly double.

I know its not that much overall of what they make, but I was bored, so enjoy lol

I just hope they are taking all this time to either delete or maybe put some guard-rails around that ******* lag pit in Ironforge. Spending half my play time stuck in a lagged out pit is not what I had in mind, and is pretty damned annoying.

Has anyone noticed that some of the realms on the list stated as being down for 24 hours are up right now? Blackrock is up as well as Cenarius and a few others...And there are other servers that aren't on the list, but are down right now, like Kelecgos..This makes no sense to me.

Wait, does this mean we actually get our subscriptions extended by a day? Like, mine normally ends at August 19th, but now will it end on the 20th? Just asking for clarification ~~

Uh...I just tried logging onto WoW.

My main toon is on Icecrown, my alt is Dalaran. I logged on, and forgot to switch servers from Icecrown to Dalaran. Lo and behold, Icecrown was up, and I was able to get on it, even though it was supposed to still be down. I also saw a few other players going..."uhh...isn't this realm still supposed to be offline? WTH!??"

So if your server is on that list, I guess it couldn't hurt to see if its back up.

I personally haven't had any problems pertaining to the main server on Whisperwind. However, the instances have been a bit laggy, and many of my raid groups have complained of excess lag. I haven't had any problems w/ the AH or mail which still are almost instant for me.

That being said I was part of a scholo raid a few days ago and we all jumped into the instance together and it gave us the "you are not part of this party" message. We were unable to leave the instance through the portal either. Everyone was ported back to IF after a min and we went back to scholo to find everything working as per the norm. However, some of the rooms were full of lag spikes. I'm glad they took the server down to correct the problems, though that is the only abnormal thing I personally experienced.

Is Blizzard giving players a free day or anything? Or was that only when all servers are down for the day?

Ok simply put. I am curious as to find out whether the powers that be in our loving Blizzard HQ are spazzing again? My main Server Feathermoon i think may be down adn it was not even schedudled for mateience this day other than what was beyond the norm. the only issue i saw on that was when I entered any Spiral Horde tower (you know Wind Riders and Zeps), it said Valley of Strength even if i was all the way in Stranglethorn Vale.

It's happening to european servers alright, last week on my server (Dragonmaw) was laggy with last night being so laggy that it was almost unplayable. (avg ping 220ms)
I blame 1.6, maybe they had some servertraffic fix that increased load instead of decreasing it or something.

dont let me hear you ***** about a ping of 220.
i live in new zealand, play on draenor, a canadian server.
my worst laggy-day-ping has ben 9000
i **** you not
9000.
lets see you play in that.

OK on the Blizz Realm Starus page, it says Alleria is up with low population....

I'm clicking "change realm" to go back to my main on Alleria but it's not on the list even though it's back up.

What gives?
