List of realms down for 24 hoursFollow

We are now coming up on 11:30 PDT, so those servers that should be up are now 30 minutes late. To add to this, has anyone else tried accessing the World of Warcraft website? I have tried several times over the last two hours with no success. Makes me wonder how many people checking their server's status it took to bring down that website lol.

Haha.. I've tried to look at the website, but it wouldn't load :(.
Plus my realm isn't listed and I still can't log in.. sucks.

lol I worked in a couple of MIS departments and thats how they did it :)

I can't login either. it takes me to the "Choose a Realm" thing.

Nope the site nor game is online right now. Guess the site might be on the same server.

Well, Scarlet Crusade is not listed, yet it is down as well. I guess it won't be up until tomorrow <sigh>

One of my realms is on the list, and the other isn't. Both have been laggy and buggy, especially since the last patch. But Kilrogg has been worse and has been down a lot and has had frequent log in queues. It makes me think that a game like this really is pushing the envelope of what computer technology can currently handle, so it is going to continue to be rough around the edges.

One thing that no one has mentioned is that Alteric valley has been unavalable for many weeks, since well before the last patch. At least it has not been available on Kilrogg or Eldre' Thalas. This is somewhat annoying, as my toons are losing their ranks because of decreased opportunities to play PvP. No one wants to do Tarren Mill anymore. Of course there were problems with alliance players getting in to Alteric at all and Horde getting enough players to make it a decent match even before Alteric went down. Seems like Blizzard pushed their PVP system though before all the bugs were worked out.

My understanding is that you can have up to 10 characters on a server. Also, you can have characters on up to 5 servers. So, no need to delete a toon, jut create a new one on a different realm!

No, I'm still hammering my login info every now and then. I'm surprised actually, because Blizzard is usually puntual when it comes to bringing servers back up... Ten or fifteen minutes late, okay, but they're pushing an hour now and the unlisted servers are not back up yet... And their site doesn't work either, I think it's volume.

I agree, WoW became too big for its own good. I'm not sure they originally expected such volume though.
