I was getting insane lag on Stormrage i mean my latency was like 400-600 more then usual and in some cases 1000 more latency and i wasnt the only one complaing so it cant just be me, whats up with the servers????

No matter what i hope they fix them all. Im on the Kargath server and last night was insane. I am not lying my latency was +120,000ms. It was horrible i couldnt chat or anything. I guess ill find out what they did in about 3 hours and 20 mins.
Boooo 24 hours and on my off day to?? well thats life for ya..
Imo, you are saying that rolling out the game in more countrys is tied to the ability of blizzard to patch the game.
Rolling it out in Asia only costs Blizzard money to setup servers, maintence etcetc. over there. Theyre not trading in programmers/patchers for the ability to roll out the game in a new continent.
So the rolling out in more countrys doesnt mean that patches take longer or bugs will be fixed slower.

Argen Dawn is not listed, but I can get in neither, so I am assuming is also down for "maintenance". It logs in, but then it gives me the Realm picking window and stays there. Pretty upset just about now.
All these times are PDT right?
Thats sucks i till have 3 hours left untill i can play.

Being that it's maintenace day that would be a good assumption so not sure why your upset. lol

Well apparently blizzard has succeeded in confusing people... People forget that it's maintenance day and think that ALL servers are going down... Mmm.. How funny.
I'm glad my server will be up... and at the same time, not. We had some crazy problems Sunday night trying to get a group into UBRS. Our raid had done 10-man LBRS earlier in the day, and a few people stayed in the group while we grabbed dinner and found a few more for Drakkisath. When we tried to return to the instance, a few people went in to find it empty and booting them out, or found themselves in Uldaman O_o
Took a few tries of switching the leader and such before we finally got it to reset, and unfortunately had to clear out the trash mobs again. I hope some of the less problematic servers they can fix during normal maintenance, and the 24-hour downtime will just be for the tougher cases that are left unfinished after the regular downtime.

Well It all takes resources,
Wether it's training the server ops, training CS, managing localization of the client & server, configuring your global billing network,,,,, oh wait, don't some of the lead Dev's go to these rollout parties over seas... well hot dam they do.

In the work that i do it is one of my functions to roll out software, and a big company would like to do that as efficiently as possible. That means theyll be setting up a entire new team to roll the stuff out, so none of the extra workload comes back to the developers/programmers. It's common practice, ITIL stuff.
And coming to a release party takes so much time! Next thing you know developers want holidays too o.0

Same things happening to me on Terenas (/wave Blindio). The Zeppelin worked just fine though. I got Aqua form for my Tauren! Yay!
The boats are kinda hit or miss right now. Sometimes you get lucky and arrive at your destination, sometimes not. I actually had that "falling from the sky" experience when I was riding a boat...wierd eh?
Didn't seem so bad yesterday, so maybe it's not that big a fix to need 24hours.
yay woot woot uldam isnt on the list but it still down but i bet itll be back up at 11:00

I have read all the other problems mentioned on the other servers that haven't gotten the 24hr shutdown award and would like to post some things that have been happening on doomhammer and maybe you will see a difference in why it was chosen or perhaps chosen first for super maintenance =P
Several times in one day all of Kalimdor gets logged off and then when people start logging back on they are in a place that they were in about 5 minutes before they were kicked off. (I noticed that it was all of Kalimdor when about 20 people from my guild logged and the ones remaining were on the Eastern Kingdoms)
People have been getting Internal Guild Error messages while trying to open both their mail and Guild list.
I actually fell through the ground in Un'goro Crater after the server was restarted due to all of Kalimdor being kicked off for about the thousandth time. Along with this, several people in my guild have been complaining about getting stuck on a ship and the auto unstuck button doesn't work and also getting dropped off of ships in the ocean where they are left to drown.
After a restart some people decided to go into the Stockades and their Chars got stuck and they weren't able to log onto them anymore so therefore were unable to leave the instance.
This week has been horrible since the last patch. These problems listed don't even include the 20 minute wait to get in every night. This is the first week that we have had a wait list to get into server and I'm not sure what it is due to.(if any1 knows what this is about please tell me =P)
If any1 finds any more problems please post them in reply. Thanks!

I love it how the servers with issues have had them ever since release.

Once the rest of the servers come back up, I want to start an Orc Shaman on one of the functioning realms just to pass the time and explore another class.
But all my characters are on Alleria, and when I open WoW, the login section says Alleria at the bottom.
Will I be able to log in even though my realm is down? All my character slots are filled and they are all in Alleria, will this be a problem? Can I still delete a toon I never use and start another on a WORKING server?

As bad as it is on the Terenas server, I guess these other servers are having worse problems than us since they are being addressed first.
Either that or they just forgot about us :)

Specially when I played until 4 am last night (morning?) doing a 5 man run to kill the Baron.
I think I will have a little bit of RL today, maybe watch a movie or so.

My biggest complaint is that I only get Tues. & Wed. off, so every Tues is maintenance day. So I always lose half of days play. Why can't they rotate maintenance days? (just dreaming I guess). And yes Lag has been a killer (Lightbringer server) Boat drops, AH lag, Dying and not being able to find body let alone rez. Lets just hope that they fix these "Minor" problems. LOL

Ok someone tell me something to do. i have nothing to do when the servers go Down. all my friends are at football so other than play partypoker.com for like 6 hours what can i do.
