Well, since this post discussing the current status of a recently
(at the time of this post) released version of the Patchin' Batch
just happened to appear at the top of page 21, I'll just use it
as my top-of-a-page post, similar to Zetan's post at the top of
page 13 which has some links to many type 1 and 2 patches, and
other resources. This post may be edited in the future (as long as
I both can, and desire to) in order to continue to link to my sites
and/or provide info about the current status of the Patchin' Batch.
(Note that these links to this page or any other page
or post are designed for when people are viewing 50 posts per
page, or else the links will go to a page with different posts
(except for page 1 and early posts on that page, of course).
My own sites listed below also have links to various resources,
including TOOGAM's Patchin' Batch for WoW, which can be found at
the following mirrors:

Current status of the Patchin' Batch:
Latest version: The one released August 30th, 2005 that added
support for, WGet and Tabards (and more).
Currently, I haven't heard of any successful reports of using the
latest Patchin' Batch. People mention server problems. For me
to act on this, please send me a copy-and-paste of the contents
of the window so I can have some details, to know what problems
are being experienced. So far I haven't heard enough information
to know just what would need to be fixed.
In my experience, downloading from Info-Zip's main FTP server (at
ftp://ftp.info-zip.org/pub/infozip/WIN32/ ) and some mirrors have
not been working well lately, and at the time of this writing, I'm
wondering if this is all that people are referring to. Info-Zip's
main FTP server seems unresponsive, or has been known to respond
but had only directories and no files found when I checked, but I
expect it to go back up okay since the site has been working
mostly successfully for years. In the meantime, if WGet times out
when the Patchin' Batch runs it, the batch file will go onto the
next server and the download will eventually be successful if
people just wait. Then towards the end of the Patchin' Batch,
people are recommended to save the downloaded files to DLTools\
when the Patchin' Batch asks, and that will prevent the delays
from re-occuring if the Patchin' Batch is run again. Since
Info-Zip's main FTP server is generally reliable, I didn't see a
compelling reason to change the batch file to avoid their main
server just over this current downtime, as I anticipate the
server is likely to go back up.
As an alternative, though, instead of waiting forever in the
Patchin' Batch, people could just visit Info-Zip's WWW
site (Win32 download link) which has been working, and
download unz552xN.exe from one of the mirrors, and place that
downloaded file into the same directory WGet gets placed for the
Patchin' Batch (that is, into the Data\DLTools\ directory
underneath where World of WarCraft is installed).
