Lost my character's underpants (really)Follow

Okay, I've been trying to follow this thread a while, and I know (as someone who came in around page 9) that it looks quite confusing to an outsider. There are nude patches scattered here and there, some aren't terribly easy to spot, at first, expecially since there are tons of links. So I decided to make a post that sums up all the activity involving nude patches up until this point. I decided not to include information/patches that don't involve nudity, even if there is useful information there, primarily for two reasons:

1) That isn't what the topic of the thread was originally about, so they could technically be considered off-topic.

2) I'm a complete perv, and all that other info about changing the appearance of your weapons and mount just doesn't compare to seeing a couple of nice polygons that look rather realistically like boobs.

There are currently two types of patches going around. Type 1 patches(only called such by me because they were the first type to exist) modify the Pelvis and Torso files, such as HumanFemaleNakedPelvisSkin00_00.blp, leaving the Skin files, such as HumanFemaleSkin00_00.blp as they are. Type 2 patches modify the Skin files, replacing the Pelvis and Torso files with transparent files. Type 1 patches do not work in conjunction with TOOGAM's file to make clothing transparent, since this patch shows the Skin files, not the Pelvis and Torso files. Type 2 patches, however, seem to give some systems trouble, including any German versions of the game they've been tested on so far. This might be because of their reliance on transparencies. One thing to try if they're giving you trouble is deleting all the Pelvis and Skin files they create. From here, you need to download MyWarCraftStudio from http://www.curse-gaming.com/mod.php?addid=657 delete the same files from the MPQ. To do this, go to the Pack menu, select Edit MPQ archive, browse to your "World of Warcraft/Data" directory, and select texture.MPQ. From here, you can right-click on each of the Pelvis and Torso files associated with the file you want to get rid of, and select Remove File. This should fix the problem with Type 2 patches for at least most people. I have also discovered a third type of patch, called Type 3 both because it came third and because it seems to combine the good parts of Types 1 and 2. Type 3 patches modify the Pelvis, Torso, and Skin files, which should make them both compatable with TOOGAM's file as well as compatable with most systems, since there's no transparency involved.

Also included here are screenshots, many of them taken here of my characters. Because I don't mind handing out my character names (in case someone feels like talking to me, for one reason or another) a small description of the character is included as well. At this point, I'm done taking screenshots of my own, but the ones already up there are going to stay. So if you want a screenshot to accompany your patch, take one and post it along with the patch.

This is Vyviana of Medivh, my first character, who has now been reduced to checking AH prices and modeling nude patches. She's wearing everything in her inventory right now. In other words, she's wearing absolutely nothing.

This is Mitsuka of Argent Dawn. She's hiding up in a building in Stormwind, since Argent Dawn is an RP server, and it would be improper for a Priestess of The Light to be seen wandering the streets nude. I know, I have no life.

http://rapidshare.de/files/3358292/nude_patch_and_installer.rar.html - This includes the Night Elf and Human skins from Ahriana's patches, but also takes the nipples and crotch area from the human and applies them as best as possible to the Gnome and Dwarf. This results in some discoloration with certain skin tones, as seen in the screenshot below (especially the dwarf skin-tone I used). Posted on page 8 by cyrosgold. This is a Type 1 patch.

Neviana of Argent Dawn and Mellinda of Bleeding Hollow are seen here. Meant to use Neviana of Medivh, but they both look the same, and I logged the wrong one in. So some people in the AH may have gotten the wrong idea about her. Ah, well.


http://eatbabies.com/outside/wowAllianceNudeMod.zip - This includes all the female skins in cyrosgold's patch (for which most of the credit should really be given to Ahriana) as well as the only attempt I know of to create male-parts. It only patches the male Night Elf, and since it's just textures and not new polygons, it's still all flat. Posted on page 9 by wootowl. This is a Type 1 patch.

http://66.114.33.57/%7E%74%6F%6F%67%61%6D/wow - Several files, the most important of which will be the zip file with the highest number (currently wownudf2.zip) and should make most female clothing transparent, almost always removing what they're wearing on their chest and often what they're wearing around the pelvis as well. It's purpose is so that there will be widespread nudity all over WoW as you walk around, rather than just people who happen to not have anything equiped. Because it is based on transparencies, it won't work on some video cards. This newest, working version was posted on page 12 by TOOGAM, though he's been working on these batch files since page 11. Since this is not a clothing patch, it is not Type 1 or 2, though as mentioned above, it is only compatable with Type 2 and 3 patches.

The Succubus, since it doesn't have seperate textures for underwear and such, isn't technically either type, and should work on all systems.

Now re-hosted on page 14 by devFreak. The Undead, Night Elf, and Human are left Type 1, as Sandrae created them. The Troll and Orc are Type 2. The file also includes Type 2 style underwear removal for all the other races females; in other words, transparent files for all their Pelvis and Torso files.

It does not add anything down there, so they look like Ken dolls, but they don't have underwear. Posted on page 15 by UberPsyn. I've been unable to take a look at the blp files themselves, but the patch works on my laptop, which leads me to believe it is Type 1. Let me know if anyone has trouble with it.

Posted on page 16 by UberPsyn. The files are mostly unmodified, meaning that the Human and Night Elf females are Type 3 while everything else is Type 1, though Skin files are also included for the Dwarf and Gnome females. These Skin files are unmodified (and therefore rather pointless to have in there) and so these two remain Type 1.

It contains Sandrae's Undead, converted to Type 3, Razira's Orc (Type 2) and TomPaxton's Troll (Type 2) along with a Tauren with underwear removed (Technically Type 2, since it uses transparent Pelvis and Torso files). This one is much smaller and much easier to use, but has one major downside; it makes all items have a red ? instead of their usual icon. Everything functional about the item is still there, but it is rather annoying opening up your inventory to a bunch of question marks and needing to hover over each one in order to figure out what it is. Other than that, this patch is flawless in removing all clothing from all players you can see. Posted on page 18 by CerianDK.

http://rapidshare.de/ - Free to upload, free to download, you don't even have to sign up. It takes a bit of effort to download from, at times, and there's pretty much always a wait time (unless you pay) but it's a pretty good host anyway.

http://12.22.230.41/MicroTech/Hosting/ANS40SF-MUR-FM.html - This file host looked great... free, easy to download from, etc... but now I'm not so sure. ShadySnake's file vanished after some time up there. So you might want to stick with RapidShare, seems more reliable.

http://www.imageshack.us/ - For images, I cannot stress how wonderful this site is. No signup, all major image file types supported, no bandwidth restrictions. The only restriction is on the size of individual files, which is 1024KB (more than enough for most image files).

http://www.photobucket.com/ - As much as it pains me to put this up here, everyone seems to use it. Another image host, like ImageShack above, but signup is required. If, for some reason, you don't like ImageShack, use this. I'm rather certain there are bandwidth restrictions, however, so if you host it in a high-traffic forum (as this one sometimes is) the image may go down for a time. That's the primary reason I prefer ImageShack, other than the no signup.

http://unrarx.sourceforge.net/ - Did you get a Mac? First, let me offer my condolences. Chances are, you'll have a much harder time contributing to this, if you'll be able to at all. The good news is, you can still patch the heck out of the game, and here's a utility to unzip rar files that I happened to find while helping someone out.

http://www.curse-gaming.com/mod.php?addid=657 - MyWarCraftStuio, which is needed for any kind of modification you want to do, in most cases. It's linked in most guides, but I figured I'd put it here anyway.

http://www.irfanview.com/ - An image converter/viewer for those who can't get at those pesky TGAs to mess around with them. Apparently completely free, though I've yet to try it for myself.

Well... my post was drowned by all that, so I'll repost it.

I DID do that.

Oh my bad I read you were using the tga2blp converter. Are you using the correct skin toned character? Assuming you named it correctly and it's either in the root or the correct subdirectory it should be working fine...

Apparently my .blp still had the Copy Of on it, so I changed it. But I went to Create Character, chose the correct skin color, yet there were no changes... I'm confused. Maybe I should just wait until someone posts a working one...

I'm gonna try to put up a download in a few minutes if that free host works. I will include the full body skins and the pelvis/torso naked skins, plus the original nude and new tattooed nude Succubus. Stay tuned.

Ok here it is, my soon-to-be-famous Succubus skin (with and without the tattoo), also included are the nude night elf and human female skins. Enjoy and let me know if I need to fix anything.

After reading through the guide posted by Ahriana @ http://members.cox.net/bajabob78/...inning.html.

I tried to tinker with a silver tabby, and change it into a Nakie NE, did everything the guide said. Got the hair, body, etc down. But when I tried to load it. It doesn't work ><
Been tinkering for about an hour now, no luck.

Any advice?

I finally reached a point on my nude female troll skins where I feel I can't make them much better with my limited art skills, so:

To install, simply unzip into your WoW directory, making sure to preserve the paths stored in the zip file.

Each one is slightly different, though I was aiming for the same general thing. If you don't like any aspect of it: tough--do it yourself! I'm done with them. Maybe I'll work on Orcs next.

Edit: Oh, one thing--I chose to edit the base textures, and have thus included in the zip transparent copies of all the "naked" textures. I didn't spend a whole lot of time on it but I did manage to get a 64x64 transparent working (though 32x32 didn't, dunno why).

ShadySnake, I got Succubus2.zip. Any chance of bringing the Scourge skin up to date like the others? In addition to the underwear-only mods not being visible with most outfits when my patch is used, I've found the changes are invisible if the underwear textures are disabled via some method other than an invisible underwear texture (namely, I was using the modified CharSections.dbc method mentioned in an earlier post, except I did a search/replace of "Naked" since that is what worked, not "Nude" as the directions errorneously said). Furthermore, the underwear-only textures aren't visible on the character selection screen.

If this gets updated, then I'll have working Human, Night Elf, Scourge, and Troll base skins, fully half of the races, plus the sexiest minion in the game will dress more according to her character.

My god! Have a bit of decency, people! Think of the virgin eyes of all the unattended 12-year-olds whose parents might blame you for their own shortcomings as caregivers!!!

Here is a much more family-friendly underwear mod, still in the developmental stages of course. I hope you will all download it when I release it and cover the horrible, disgusting nudity that is currently residing in many of your games, so that we can all get back to killing each other in battlegrounds. Jesus will forgive you. :)
