Please fix the problem with ItemsMatrix compatibility.
Quote:
NOTE: It has come to my attention that the wowreader.exe for allakhazam.com. is causing conflicts with ItemsMatrix. If you use this program it will strip the special characters that is used in ItemsMatrix and leave you with orange or yellowish items. If you wish to use ItemsMatrix you must not use the wowreader.exe.
(Special thanks to TheHermit for finding this out).

verybadtoad: download this and replace your current wowreader.exe with it - that should get you running again.

>> Please fix the problem with ItemsMatrix compatibility.

It's been fixed for a while now, as far as I know. It's now very careful not to strip anything, so there should be no problems. If there still are, I'd be interested to hear it, but that note is most likely just out of date.

I uploaded my character once and now i cannot. Whenever i try to upload my new data, it says wrong password. I check my password and it is about a 30 letter word, which it really is not. When i put my real password in and hit save, i hit upload again, says check pass and once again is 30 letter word. I cannot upload any more data because of this problem. Should i uninstall - reinstall?

And yes, it runs every time i start WoW.

The number of *'s on the password screen is not related to your actual password. If you're still having trouble, try changing your password on the website, then entering the new one.

I need help, I gave the Worldo f Warcraft location folder, I gave in my log-in and password (my password here is the same as on WoW, just to be sure), I click refresh, but when I click upload, it says "No data found", do I have to open my account on WoW first before it works?

Where exactly do I put the wowreader file? in the WTF folder? Or the Interface>Addons folder?

When I start WowReader I get first the updater that downloads the patch.xml

After that I get an error-message from Microsoft .NET Framework:
'Invalid parameter used.'

I have downloaded all servicepatches etc. for Framework. (including the one of today...)

I use an english version of Windows XP. (I'm from Holland)

Anyone?

It doesn't work.

Very simple. It doesn't show that there's anything new to update.

Haven't updated since lvl 38 (47 now) and yes, I have tried logging in, logging out, logging in, doing something, logging out etc. Nothing works.

Hi,

I have been using (trying to) some add ons to create my guilds rooster. Wow reader is the only one that I managed to make work so far.

I was wondering if anyone could give me an XML style sheet for displaying the rooster at my site. I do not know much about xml; I'd very much appreciate if someone would help me.

Yes, it doesnt work.

I've an europe-installation (german one) of WoW and play at a german server. The problem i have is : only the feature to load up the character profile works sometimes (more often at the beginning). At time I can load up my char-profile but at most the old profile ist still there. At the other the new and actual profile is shown, but only temporary.

It's hard to handle without any documentation or instructions how to use WoWreader.

I hope you can understand my broken english.
Thanks in advance for your help.

I believe this problem should be fixed now, but you'll have to upload your profile once again before it will show up correctly.

I'm not clear on whats happening here exactly. Is it that you've reset your talents in game and the new ones never show up, or are some of them just showing up wrong? If you deleted your profile on the site, all talents should have been reset and uploaded from in-game values from scratch.

Does /wver show wowreader as running if you type it in game? If not, check the instructions in the first post. If it does and you're still having trouble, let me know and I'll look into it more closely.

I'm using WoWReader on a european server, and as you said earlier in this thread, it doesn't upload anything besides player profiles for non-US servers.

As my collected data isn't stored, I thought I'd just disable the unneeded eventhandlers in the wr.lua file. Unfortunately, whenever I upload my profile data with WoWreader, it patches my simplified wr.lua back to the original version. Ok, I just set the read-only flag on the wr.lua file, which actually prevents the update, but always displays an error dialog.

So, is it maybe possible, to automatically patch non-US clients to a WoWreader-light, with profiledata-only collection?

Or is there some way to disable the auto-update w/o causing any errors?

Of course, if you will someday decide to finally use data collected from non-US servers, I'll love to run the full WR addon again.

Thanks in advance,

Klaus

I think I found the problem. I tried disabling my WR add-on and enabling it again and now I'm getting some signals.

Sry :P

I've tried downloading and installing the Reader, but I can't get any of my characters to show up under 'Character Profiles'. The Reader shows that it has uploaded a number of 'Quests', 'Items' and 'Creatures', but does not display any helpful information at all. As I've been playing for several weeks now, I would think that your database should have me in by now. Are lvl =< 11 characters not displayed in your database?

I'm not sure if this is a WoWReader-related issue, but the XML version of characters do not seem to be working any longer. Whenever I try to go to view the XML for a profile, instead of the character data, I get the following:

"Invalid at the top level of the document. Error processing resource ' http://wow.allakhazam.com/profile.xml?108814 '. Line 1...

[an error occurred while processing this directive]
^"

This happens with whatever browser/program I try to use to download; instead of an XML document, I receive a single line of text reading "[an error occurred while processing this directive]"

This isnt exactly WoWReader.. but why is there not a single male gnome avatar/icon available. I see about 10 orc and tauren icon/avatar pictures, but I couldnt make out a single male gnome picture. Not terribly important, but it would be nice since there are so many others to pick from.
