What does "Background Colour" do in our character profile? ...because it's not changing the background of the <body>
#329 Nov 06 2005 at 4:19 PM Rating: Decent
When i try to upload it stands "Login failed Please check your password" Then i go into the login place again and the password has changed since i wrote it in before any suggestions how to fix this?

I keep on getting that Unable to transport data screen but the thing I noticed in the login part that what it has saved for the password is much longer than what my actual password is, but when I go to correct it, it reverts back to the longer password

Changing the BG colour wasn't clearing the profile cache (your profile html only updates when you update your profile), this is now fixed. Setting your background colour to a valid html colour in the hex notation (eg: #12AB45) should immediately change the colour.

The number of stars shown in your password box has nothing to do with your password, as a function of Windows it shows the same length regardless of password.

Don'tknow if this has been mentioned, but are there any plans to implement the ability to see the quest log for each profile?

While I'm away from the playing PC, I can't seem to remember all the quests that each toon I have is on... It would be kinda cool to be able to see that information in my WoW Reader profile.

Every time I try to upload data is says:

Connection Error: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.

Is this a port issue? If so, what ports need to be open in order to send the data?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I have the same issue

This is a great tool!

I have a guild management question: Is there a way to upload my guild list without having everyone in my guild create a profile here? I have had this feature on other sites, but they didn't et updated very often and before I quit using site X, it wasn't updating at all. I really like the fact that this Wowreader updates immediately.

Try changing your password on the website and then entering the new one.

Is there a version which doesn't download & install the .NET runtime?
I run XP Pro 64-bit you see so .NET is already built-in and your version is not compatible.

I'm running xp-64 myself, so I've tested it, and the installer detects .net installed and should skip it automatically. If not, even if you let it try to install, it shouldnt cause any problems. Alternatively, you can download wowreader.exe and put it in the directory you want it installed, and it will download the rest of the files itself.

I'm also getting the "Unable to read data from the transport connection." message :/

It would appear that the stam increase from the Zandalar enchants (head and legs) are not being recorded. I should have exactly 200 more health than what my profile lists and this is the only thing I can think of that can account for this.

Also, every thought of adding something like DmgCalc to the profiles? It just reports +spell damage and other information.

Fixed, It'll take some time for the proper values to update in the HTML Caches.

Yes, adding spell effects that your items grant you is on the todo list.

When I hit the upload button, it goes up until 'Sending Item Data' and then crashes. Oh, and I am running the 64-bit windows xp. Here's part of the error message:

Yes, pw is hidden after you enter it. No, the number of stars shown if you go back and look is not the same length as your password. Yes, the question has come up a lot in this thread already.

Like I said, try changing your password.

Have you tried reinstalling? I can't tell where the problem might be from that error. Does it happen as soon as you start it up, or after doing something?
#350 Nov 13 2005 at 11:31 AM Rating: Decent
Well, what happened is, it worked for a bit while playing with WoW. Then after a patch or two of WoW it stopped working giving me that error. I uninstalled/removed all folders. Once I reinstalled it, it gives me the same error and for some reason it tries to as well read a disk in my A drive even though there is none.

Nothing happens... WoWreader is installed and up, but nothing happens! I has been online with a character, just in the character selection and not online at all.
