WowReader Issues and HelpFollow

#277 Oct 13 2005 at 9:49 AM Rating: Decent
Hi,

actually i do not have any problems with wowreader. It is totally different: I love this piece of software. Thank you.

Nevertheless i would like to make a suggestion:

- is it possible to expand the search function to order by attack power or dps (included attack power)?
- it would be amazing to see wowreader extracting the %crit value of your gear and having the possiblity to order by that.

Thank you for all your great work,
odb

Hey Guys, it should work now, a few days after the patch.

My issue is that I keep getting the error "The Server Closed the Connection"... any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Up until yesterday, WowReader had no problems, even after the 1.8 patch. Now, however, it seems to stall out at the "Sending item data..." stage, and after a few seconds I get an error message stating, "Unable to read data from the transport connection." Any help?

How about a .zip file and I can put the .lua file in the right folder myself? Mac users can be very tech saavy. A manual input page in lieu of the WOWreader?

No comment, at all, huh?! Pretty lame for such a great site in every other way!

Once again, Mac or Linux (or both, probably) version would be greatly appreciated. I would love to have my profile up on the site.

Try updating to the latest service pack for .NET; you can dl it from microsoft here.

Let me know if that doesn't help.

I upload my profile every 1-2 days. No errors shown and no items left to upload after process of transferring (seems all ok from the user's side) but the profile actually have not updated.

Maybe it can be caused by my re-installation of WoW month ago. Since that no actual data is updated on the profile page. What can I do? My clan-mates reports the same problem.

P.S. You can see that in that way: I have 6 rank for 3 weeks (search http://www.wow-europe.com/pvp/index.html?r=Warsong&faction=h#top for name Xom), but the profile shows 5th rank; however it have been uploaded yesterday.

Xom: Get your profile link from http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/userinfo.html?1 - the one your using in your sig appeared to be pointing to an older copy from a different account.

Sorry about that. The server for uploading data is down temporarily for maintenance. It should be back up soon.

It seems to be having trouble finding your wow installation for some reason.

Go to the File menu in wowreader and select Location, then browse to and select wow.exe from the place you installed wow.

Ok, downloaded wowreader, kept it running then ran the game. Opened everything so it could get stats. Uploaded it afterwards. My character is listed on this website but the whole profile box is empty with nothing in it. However if you click on the xml where it says id missing and put the id of my character after the ? It lists all the items correctly in the xml, just not filling them in on the chart IE

http://wow.allakhazam.com/profile.html?490341 is empty
http://wow.allakhazam.com/profile.xml?490341 displays the correct info. Please let me know what the problem is with this. thanks

I really like the profile information gathered using the WoWReader, however I am having an issue with incorrect information in my profile.

I know my strength, agility, stamina, intellect, and spirit are not showing up correctly. I am not sure about the armour, health, and mana. Also some of my talents are in correct. I am showing 2 points in Natures Reach on the Balance tree and I know I have not placed any there. On the Feral tree I see 3 points in Primal Fury which is a 2 point talent and I have not placed points there.

I believe the talent discrepencies come from the fact the Talents for Druids have not been updated in the reader since 1.8. Please let me know what I can do to correct these issues. Thank you.

When i try to open wow reader i keep getting this updater open saying it's downloading wow.reader? any one know what's wrong with this?
#301 Oct 26 2005 at 9:29 PM Rating: Decent
Got two questions:

How do you get a picture of your dude on the top left part of ur character profile?

And how come my talents are weird? 5/2?
