I know you guys are out there.

There is apparantly an issue with being "Disconnected from Server" that Blizzard doesn't want to recognize and immediately resolve as an issue.

Post here with whatever information you have.

Information I have:
*My friend logged onto his account just fine on my computer and is on the same realm that I am trying to create my character. (Yeah I know, no created character yet... Some first impression Blizzard) This reveals to us that this issue is not network related on the players' end for the most part.

*I tried to log into the forum to post a message on the official Blizzard thread, regarding the server disconnection issue, but it gave me the error message "Login Server Down". This leads me to believe the problem might be directly related to their log-in servers.

*This issue apparantly came up right after the holiday patch. You know, it's funny... All the big MMORPG's try to innovate the experience by making these holiday patches with decorations and weird quests to get these weird holiday related items, but their efforts only succeed to do one thing: Make distinct players' experience less than worthwhile with the game. These holiday patches occurred a lot in Final Fantasy XI and the bugginess after their initial release was always making us NOT want the holiday patches in the first place. What I don't get is why companies don't send us in-game messages asking us if we want this kind of patch in the first place. Blizzard prides itself off of its response to customer feedback so much, yet they decline to ask us what we would want when there are possible negatives to these holiday patches.

Big questions to ask:

-Are they going to extend mine and other indivuduals trial month, considering a lot of people barely signed up today and their free month is already in effect while this issue prevents us from taking advantage of it.

-Are they going to take the servers down entirely to try to fix this problem, or are they going to continue to tell users that it is a problem on "OUR" end, even though some people can connect to their separate account just fine on the same computer with the same connection?

-Are they going to put out Easter, Summer and Halloween patches next year, that will continue to test players' patience?

-Is EQ2 looking as attractive to some of you, as it is to me, at this moment, when I'm sitting here at my computer unable to play the game I just paid nearly 54 dollars for?

This is, in fact, the definitive "disconnected from server" thread.

No further threads regarding "disconnected from server" will be tolerated. If you need to post, post here, in the official one.

I started playing EQ1 during its release. The problems I went through then were enough to keep me from even looking at EQ2, though I'm sure there are days when it's down like this as well...
