Well, I'm kinda bored because I don't have WoW yet.....getting it soon though. I've read that people have gone skinning/mining to make a profit in the beginning. I was wondering if it would be good to start it at lvl5 and continue it until lvl10, then go blacksmithing/mining. Would this be a good choice, or would my mining be very high, making it an unwise choice. Sorry about the questions, I'm just trying to get the "best" set up for when I start playing WoW(hopefully soon...). Thanks!

I wouldnt botter taking a proffesion for 5 level especialy the 5 first because at level 5 the thing you will skin wont be worth much... Veins for mining can be found at all levels so your gonna be fine

If you start a profession like blacksmithing late, it isn't that big of a deal. You already have access to lots of materials to raise your skill quickly.

Now if it was the other way around, and you started mining later... then you have to go to the newbie zones to mine copper etc.

So, in summary. Go skinning/mining to get money if you like, then go smith if you feel it's a good choice (If you find a good guild, skinning/mining may be a better option... supply the guild crafters, and have them make you anything you need ;) )
