Hi,

I heard this game was really good, all i hear from these forums are great reviews.
I just had one question for those hardcore gamers out there who had like lvl 75 jobs in FFXI and are now playing WoW:

Does this game get boring after the first 1-2 months?

I KNOW this game caters towards people who dont have countless hours on their hands, people who work or go to school and need time to study instead of play. If you only have 2-3 hours to play each day, this is probably for you and not ffxi.

However, I know a lot of people in ffxi who had lvl 75 jobs say they converted to WoW for a month, beat it and got bored of it already and have gone back to ffxi... i just wanted to know how true that was? They say if you are hardcore enough to hit lvl 75 you can hit the max level cap for WoW in a month or 2 months...

On a side note, i think it would be funny if SE decided to make an exception to their own rule and allow users to have their accounts innactive for longer than 3 months because the NA exodus from ffxi.

Thanks,

Edit:
Lol... gotta love it, people rating me down for a simple question without any replies... why? is it because they love WoW so much? or hate FFXI that much? So you cant even say anything on this forum unless it's something 100% fanatical love about WoW?
It seems all you have to do is create threads that say "OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG I LOOOOVE WOW, ITS AWESOME, IT's BETTER THEN SEX!!" then you'll get a ton of rate ups... hahaha

To prove my point, i would like to direct your attention to "Damnit! This game is just TOO GOOD" and "Why Wow" threads...

Ok anyone who says they beat an MMO is lieing or hiding something. Always something to do, remember fantasy and RP. Yeah MMO's started when someone was playing DnD with his/her friends and said hey wouldnt it be if we could DnD on a Pc...yadda yadda yadda.

Depth? Well from what I've gathered you're looking for end game content. Now I cant accuratly comment since I'm only lvl 34 but I know its out there, and I know alot more is coming. In fact content just got added for lvl 40-49 with a new instance, dont fear extra higher lvl content will get here. Yes there is some there now, only whats the need in adding tons more now when the few hardcore non stop players are the only ones there atm. Plus the PvP rules and can account for endless amounts of fun.

Oh and the lvl 60 guys are pissed because they spent all that time grinding and then beat the high lvl raids and are bored now so they go grief the lowbies. Plus you and I know how hard it is to leave a lvl 75 character, especially when S-E made it so damn hard to get there with all your genkai's and AF armor...

I have played FFXI, for 81 days of game time, and when I quit I didn't really mind because it was getting boring. What level in FFXI are you? I didn't think it was very hard to swich and my only regard was I wish that I had spent all that time playing WoW and not FFXI...

Nope. 3 days from one month and I'm loving the game just fine. I also participated in both stress tests and open beta. I still love the game dearly.

You can't beat a MMO so what they did was enter the game with a one track mind and thats it. Leveling is not what the game is all about. There were times where I would level by accident because I forgot about my exp bar. Just relax and have fun with the game and the game will open up to you. Forcing yourself to level to the cap as quick as possible will cause you to miss the entire point of the game.

Never really thought of that...Nice way to keep customers...

Actually, look over those threads again and you'll noticed that people got rated down for nothing. I kinda expect you'd be rated down. Why? Not because you asked questions but simply because it's the Alla boards. Kharma trolls rate down as freely as those found in the FFXI forums. Try not to take it personally...

Two things:

1) There are a TON of people still playing that played during all the betas and stress tests. That should tell you that people don't get bored with it.

2) How do you beat an MMORPG? You can't. Yes you can level to the max, but that's not beating it.
