I got the Proxy working thru Firefox to access the website but i dont know how to tell WoW to use the proxy plz help.

Can someone please tell me how to do the proxy thing? i tried getting the the ip provided on that page but its not working, plz help :o
Go to start-Run put in cmd and click enter
then type ipconfig and click enter.
The default gateway is your router ip address. In IE go to that address.
Then go to Advanced>Special Applications and input the information in there.

Did the Port Forwarding works great in ie and firefox but WoW still wants to connect thru Cox only. How do i tell it to use the proxy like ie and firefox???
I dont know what to tell you then. I'm not the best at connecting through ports. I'm still trying to get into my configuration pannel to try and do the proxy myself. :( If I can get in and do it, I'll come back and let you know what I did.

BTW to the people trying to get into there routers using there local IP address. If you have a link sys your longin is left blank and the pass is admin
Nope iv gone on the cox live help chat like 6 times and all they keep saying is "we will look into this outrage.." ect ect, we are doing everything possible... ect ect
We dont know when this problem will be fixed but we have technitions working on it now .... ect ect
its the standard babble you can expect from COX when all their **** goes down and takes 3 weeks to repair.. DOH!?! maby i shouldnt say that, itll jynx it and it will take 3 weeks :p

demoiselle, when i go to my default gateway an msn search page comes up though :( thats where i dunno what to do, do i have to type it in how it appears? ex. 24.251.8.9.12 or is there more?
Try using http:// before the numbers to your ip.

Cox is always giving us trouble in my town not only with the game but with internet basicaly so its not realy surprising.But im paying good mony for this internet an the game so they beter get it up an runing or they are gona get some mad phone calls.

Are you sure your using the default gateway address?
Oh, and I just logged in to World of Warcraft with the proxy...you have to make sure you enable it in your router settings.

Was able to get back on last night about 6 AZ time, only to have a ton of server drops and horrible rollbacks (I wasn't alone).
Hopefully today's patch fixed some of that O_O
