apparantly rouges can use bows/guns in addition to the daggers and such. Whenever i find a weaponskill trainer, all he ever gives me is crossbows and swords. do i have to buy those 2 to unlock the other ones?

There is no unlocking involved. Only certain trainers can be found in certain area's.
For the alliance side at least... The Gun trainer can be found in Iron Forge. I think the Bow trainer is in Darnassus but im not 100% on that one.
There is a bow trainer in Darnasus, but people in game keep telling me there is one in Stormwind.

in Stormwind i know you can learn one haned sword, dagger, crossbow, greatsword, and some others but im not 100% sure which right now.
