Questions regarding 'useless' pets.Follow

Until a little bit ago, I was strongly considering being a hunter, if only because of the whole pet-thing (For me, a big deciding factor on a character is looks- and pets are a big yes in my book). However after looking into them more, I don't think they're quite what I want. While reading on the forums both here and on the official site, I've heard some purely for looks pets available for all classes ingame. I have a few questions regarding them.

Firstly, do they have HP? Do they follow you 24/7 (meaning they could be the target of an AoE and get killed or something)?

Secondly, If they follow you all the time, do they dissapear when you dissapear (such as using shadowmeld, or a Rogue skill, etc)?

And lastly.. Do they require any care? Do you need to feed them or anything?

Thanks for taking the time to read.

"Eye candy" pets as they are commonly referred to are just that... eye candy. They're level 1 and sit there for looks. They do nothing. No fighting, just.. following you. They don't get involved in fighting so they are perfectly safe.

Not sure if they disappear when doing shadowmeld or anything, as I play a Hunter. :) Which Hunters can have their normal attacking pet and an eye candy pet following them. (I have my cougar and bird follow me around a lot.)

Eye candy pets require no taking care of at all. If you take a flight on your bird thingy from one city to next it'll disappear. Just resummon them and voila.

To Add to Muku's post. I believe you can call dismiss them at will like CE pets (Collectors Eddition pests...erm pets.) So if you're trying to be stealthy I'd say just dismiss it. (You get a collar item you need to carry to call/dismiss if I am not mistaken)

They're blue to everyone, I believe. At least, when I click on my Dark Whelpling, he's blue even in contested territories, therefore, unattackable.

Alright great, thanks for all the help :)

I feel definitely no need to go the hunter route now... Rogue it is.
