Posted in another thread, but I don't think that one is going to get much attention.

I believe this site was added in the last couple of days, and it gives you a glimpse at what the dev team is working on for upcoming patches.

Pretty excited about the Hero classes myself. I certainly hope there will be good chances for PvP-based points on the server I'm on as the equipment sounds pretty neat. Smiley: smile I'm loving this game.

PS: Taolil check your messages I'm gonna send you a PM real fast.

I'm not familiar with the other Warcraft games, but apparently there are other classes that they could (and will be) implementing into the game. Not sure on the details myself, I'm sure someone wouldn't mind filling us in, but no one knows for sure what they will be just yet... we can only guess at this point. Nor do we know if they will be questable or open immediately etc etc.

They are supposedly race specific specialized classes that you can obtain through a quest once you reach level 60.

It would allow for further diversification between the classes and again add more variety within a specific class.

An example would be a Human Mage could become an Arch-Mage and be able to summon Water Elementals like in WC3. An Undead Mage might become a Necromancer and be able to summon skeletons.

I don't know if this is actually going to be going into the game, although there have been rumours swirling about it for awhile.

These are your ideas and concepts, not Blizzard's - they haven't said much of anything on what the Hero classes are going to be like.

Considering that they engineered the fast leveling system in the game specifically because there's going to be Hero classes (and that, "the real game begins at 60," according to one interview quote), I can't exactly see them scrapping plans for the Hero classes. Altering them for balance, yes. Eliminating them completely? No chance.

no, what i think he means is that he doesnt know whether they'll be implamented into the game this way.

for all we know it could be that you unlock them and then have to start a toon again or indeed, get access to them at 60 and hype your toon up somewhat.

oh and those arent his ideas, they were exactly what the classes in WoW3 could do so thats an educated guess on what the hero clases will be like

Considering that Blizzard has gone to great lengths to make the game friendly and fun, I just can't see them doing something like this. "Thanks for grinding your way to 60... now do it again!"

Nope, I just don't see it.

Yes, Neko. Hence why I didn't state anything as being absolute fact. I believe I made use of the word 'supposedly' and also stated 'I don't know if this is actually going to be going into the game', as preface that this may change, this may not be what is actually going on, etc.

Right now you could quest to unlock the Hero class, you could pay exorbiant sums of money to attain the 'training', or there could be something else (kill 100 Horde players to become 'X' class). Hell, there could be a mix of all three.

I was simply providing a basic example of what people could expect. That's all it was: an example. I also stated immediately after my given example that I was not sure if that is what was going to be going into the game or not,

But thank you for pointing out that I do not work for Blizzard.
