What in your opinion is the best character to stay alive well and level very fast? Thanks

well, im personally a troll/mage. basically, if you like doing crazy dmg, pick mage at lvl 24 i am doing no less than 140 and at most 270 (crit) with my fireball spell alone...mana is no prob i have over 2000 atm, with fireball rank 5 costing 140 i believe per cast. you can create food and drink from mana and downtime is minimal
Different questions. Noone stays alive like a paladin, noone levels like a rogue.

Don't Dwelfs get the "I win" button at like level 20 or something, but start at cap?
Ok really, its not surprising these threads pop up so much since lots of people coming from FFXI where there were the best races and classes. WoW is nothing like though of course... but people don't realize till they get it.
In response to the OP, to stay alive you want healing... To level very fast you want high DPS (damage per second).
Best, SERIOUS advice is to just try out the different jobs...
