Ok I'm sure this is a stupid question, but I've looked through about 20 pages of thread and can't find the answer

In the recipe section .... what do green and grey represent?

Sorry for the n00b question

Color coding in recipes refers to the likelyhood that crafting that item will result in a increase in your crafting skill. Gray means that crafting that item will not result in a skill increase. Green means there's a small chance for a skill increase. Yellow means there is a good chance and I believe orange/red results in skill increase 100% of the time.

I think he is referring to the recipe section on allakhazam.
green xx represents the lvl at which that item will turn green for crafting and grey xx is the level it turns gray

Orange=lvls every time
Yellow= lvls 4/5 times
green=lvls 1/5 times
gray=lvling whats that?

Edit: fixed

Red items are actually out of your skill range and cannot be learned. Orange items are the guaranteed skillups. Just to note, incase you didnt know. If you have a recipie learned, then you can make it without failure. Tycho from PA told a funny joke about that when he did a review during CB once. It was something along the lines of "Its like trying to make a PB&J sandwich, but ending up with a huge mess in your kitchen and two loaves of burnt bread."
