RP server question :: World of Warcraft

Sorry if this topic has already been asked I do not have the search function.

I was wondering if RP servers are PvP or just PvE? I was interested in joining one but I perfer the challanges of PvP gaming so when I got the game I hesitated and just selected a PvP server. But if the RP serevrs are in fact PvP I would join one in a second.

Alas as Vermon said, PvE. I would think Rp servers would make for the most interesting PvP servers, since the characters would have more reasons to engage in PvP besides the fact N/E's smell like month old cheese.

A petition has been made on the official forums for a PvP RP server, don't know if Blizz ever responded.

What RPers right now are hoping for are for people to just flag themselves PvP when needed in a roleplay situation.
If you find a good RP server with good people they usualy follow this unofficial rule.

Or so I've been told.
I did alot of looking into on the subject, so I kno what server to pick once my WoW arrives.
