I don't think there is a master leatherworker, because there are 3 leatherworking specializations you can pick from. Tribal, Elemental, and Dragonscale I think.

I've been looking more into this split for leatherworking, and while I don't know the level of skill i'm pretty sure it is the "master" level.

One thing though, you have to do a quest to get the skills... not a fun thing from what I could see. Need like 4 self-made items and some other thing from your specialization. Like dragonscale needs something like 10x dragonscales, which drop from level 40+ mobs.

Quick-and-dirty breakdown of the three different leatherworking tracks:

Tribal is best for Druids (mental stat increases).

Elemental is best for Rogues (Physical stat increases).

Dragonscale is best for Hunters (Chain-class armor, physical stat increases).

I appreciate the information here. But I was hoping people could elaborate for me a little more.

In regards to 3leatherworking specializations :

How do you start a specialization?

where do you go to start the specialization?

if their is a leathercrafter master trainer, what is his name and what city should I visit to find him.

thank you.

There IS an Alliance Master Leatherworking, who is located in Aerie Peak in The Hinterlands (just north of Hillsbrad).

Once you reach 225, you do have the ability to chose a specific path to take your Leatherworking. To do so, you have to complete a quest for whichever NPC offers the path you chose. All 3 of these quests are designated 40+.

The Elemental NPC is located in Searing Gorge.

The Dragonscale NPC is location in Azshara.

The Tribal NPC is unknown to me as of now.

I am currently level 40, and the Elemental and Dragonscale quests are still grey to me. I have been told that you need to be 41 for Dragonscale, 43 for Tribal and 45 for Elemental but this has not been confirmed.

Hope this helps.
