Why did you choose your class? Stats or fun?Follow

Well it was between Hunter and Priest when I first started. I tried hunter out for a few levels but didn't care for it. I was rather apprehensive about being a priest due to me hating the mage classes in FFXI. But, the priest was the only other class I wanted as a Night Elf, as well as my friends needed a priest. So I guess you can say its a 50/50 split. I wanted to be it and my friends needed one.

I originally chose Rogue long before starting WoW. I now have my prized Rogue at level 20. However Hunter, Mage, and Warlock are all very interesting jobs to me.

I will probably take the time this weekend to get them all to 10, before taking my Rogue farther. I consider level 10 a turning point in which you have learned where the job is going and wether you like it or not.

So now I have a level 5-6 Mage, a level 6 Hunter, and a level 5 Warlock.

Though I already have a level 10 Warlock on another server with a friend, it's just that his computer is giving him problems so he can't play at the moment.

I chose Druid.

Why?

Cuz SHAPESHIFTING ROCKS! :D

We're also good at a little bit of everything. We're not the best at any given thing (cept being decent at most stuff) but I love the versatility.

And Bears rule! Not to mention the Deadly Ninja Cat-form :D

How can you NOT love being able to run along and go BAMF and be a kitty? ;)

My main character is a Human Warlock. I played an Undead Priest first, and enjoyed that, but friends chose a different server, so when I switched the first thing I saw after I clicked Create New Character was a human female. I was tired of looking at an Undead guy's butt wherever I went, so I thought looking at a human female's butt would be much better. I clicked through the classes and Warlock seemed fun. Plus I had read that Warlocks will get transportation-type spells, so it was a pretty easy decision. I also have a Dwarf Paladin that I play some, and he's okay, but the Warlock is much harder to play well, and therefore more fun to me.

So the short answer is: Fun. I never play for just stats. I played EQ for 3 years off and on and my highest char was level 53. I'm always more interested in the fun stuff than camping for days for the "Ultimate Toilet Plunger of Doom, Level 3".

Night Elf Hunter. Fun, pure and simple. I want a cool pet. I could care less how fast I get to 60. I just want to run around, do quests, kill things, look at the amazing places, and have lots of fun with my wife. She's a Night Elf Druid. I guess when she shapeshifts, she can be my pet!

I chose a Dwarf Hunter, Dwarf because I liked the snowy area they start in, and Hunter because I like having a pet. I almost did Paladin just because of how many hits they can take but in the end I just wanted a pet. I like having a companion that fights by my side.

I picked a dwarf paladin for my first toon just cause that was my main in EQ. Started a few others as well, just toying with different race/class combos till I find one that I'll want to stick with.

I decided long before I started playing, that I wanted to be a Rogue. The job just seemed like it would be tons of fun, and I knew many of the abilites would allow me to be self reliant.

I took Night Elf as a race, simply becouse I thought it complemented the Rogue class best. Having Shadowmeld, and the highest starting agility in the game won me over.

I absolutly love my character too. He's exactly what I wanted it to be, and the fact that the game is amazing helps alot too. ;)

I recently started a Dwarven Hunter too. The hunter class seemed like alot of fun after watching others play it. I also like the idea of being a burly little dwarf running around in the snow. (So much so, that I named him Burly :p ) Its alot of fun as well, but Burly will always be second to my Rogue.

HMMMMM.

I was a DRG and RDM in FFXI, not for melee, but for the pet. (non-using mana pet), so I am a warlock.

On the unhappy side, I could not be a NE like I wanted, so I was undead. Then wife & RL friends started, and they were all alliance. So, now I am hume warlock. I like the DOT spells, and solo alot, so I like the pets. Also, like someone else said, I saw for the first time the lvl 20 succubus demon.....(wow!). I cannot wait to have her hanging of my arm, LOL.

also, LOLOLOL to the guy with the LOTR avatar....ROFL. did you also do the one that was up for a while with the two hobbits and the Gemley guy? That one was funny two. Anyhow.

I started with Dwarf Paladin cause I like dwarves and their addiction to beer :)...but I didnt have all that much fun with it. I still lvl it on occasion though (blacksmith/mining fun!)

Made NE Rogue cause they seem natural rogue types and it's been pretty fun (skinning/leathercraft...dunno yet).

Made a Troll shaman why...because shamans look awesome and skills looked fun and versatile...been a BLAST !! :D (alchemy/herbalism...hmmm not too much fun with that yet maybe after I lvl it some)

Also made undead mage to try it out...been ok so far fast easy kills...not as much fun as the shaman so far though...(clothcraft/skinning...like skill lvl 15 or so...so dont know enough to say yay or nay)

On a sepapate note what is a good skill to have with tailoring??? I took skinning...anything else compliment tailoring better? also how do you change a profession if need be I've been told it can be done but not how.

Enchanting is a good match for tailoring, because they happen to be the only two crafting professions that aren't paired with a gathering profession (although tinkering comes close, it has some relationship with mining). Also, disenchanting allows the practice items for one of your tradeskills to fuel the other tradeskill.

You change professions by unlearning them (look for an x button next to the skill in your skills tab) and then finding a trainer for the new one.

I chose warlock because I played a magician in EQ, and loved having an NPC of my own creation basically fight for me. Now, playing a warlock isn't exactly a passive experience, it still feels like the ol' mage. I did have to change my name, since my old EQ char's name was so tied into the erudite caster ethic.

I played a Rogue to 23 and a Warrior to 20, and during that time I bought a lot of little pets that would run around with me. Then I admitted that I was jealous of Hunters and started my character over from scratch.

Now I have my pretty tiger.
