I thought this site I found was very cool. Get a name with a meaning in Tolkien created Quenya (elvish). Just keep refreshing the page. Neat, huh?

http://www.subreality.com/lotr/generator.htm

Example:
Sindelrielle

Sindel
''grey-Elf''

riellë
/ ''a maiden crowned with a festival garland''

can't say i've ever had that problem. what I usually do is think of a weird object.

then I goto http://babelfish.altavista.com and enter in the name of that object, select the languge I want to translate it to, and press enter.

In my case, I put In Hammer, and translated it into portugese and it came out "Martelo"

So now my hume mage's name is Martelo

My FFXI name was already taken on Blackhand; so I had to resort to one of my mules names (Todash-----a phrase from the Dark Tower series). I play a Druid, so the name seems to fit.

But naming my other characters was almost a chore.
