Im quite sick and tired of seeing useless post of people wondering if their computers can run this game.

1st off if your interested in a game and love to go online check their main website. In this case thats

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/

Smart people will always check on the homepage if their computers can run it, Not in the fourms.

Heck by the time you waited for a darn reply you could have sniffed it up yourself. frankly many people are ignoring these stupid question save a few who are a little to nice for their own good (then they vent.)

Also I belive many people dont like to click on links prob they are paranoid that they might be sent to a website that will put a virus or spyware on em, or simply they think it might be **** and they dont want to get caught.

the link:

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/faq/technology.html;jsessionid=531959DE300B5596F6C56621B4CF4A29.app03

And here is the faq:

What are the game's system requirements?

Windows® System 98/ME/2000/XP OS:

800 MHz or higher CPU

32 MB 3D graphics card with hardware transform and lighting, such as GeForce 2 or better

ATI or NVIDIA video hardware with 32 MB VRAM or more
4 GB or more of available hard drive space
MacOS X 10.3.5 or newer
56k or higher modem with an Internet connection
For what platforms is the game available?
The game is available for PCs and Macs.

Does the game require a 3D accelerator?
Yes, the game requires a 3D graphics card. We support a wide range of 3D cards that conform to the system requirement outlined above.

Is the game playable over a modem?
Yes.

What is the camera perspective of the game?
The game supports 1st- and 3rd-person camera perspectives. Players will be able to utilize the mouse wheel to adjust the camera angle as the situation dictates and switch between cameras on the fly.

Well I hope this helps eliminate a few posts.

To all those who already know this I ask you to help me keep this bumped.

Also for those who dont know much about computers. go to Control panel from the start menu and click on the system icon to see your ram and processor.

to check your grafics card just right click on your desk top select properties then settings and you should see your grafics card mentioned on that screen.

BTW if your a person who comes from ffxi from your comp, if you played ffxi you can play wow with no probs.

Thank you LordZanon!!

I'll admit it, I posted on some of the threads wondering if my system could handle the game. I just never found the link to the info you just posted there. I must be an idiot when it comes to searching for it. ><

Thank you again!

To answer on sgtrich's question in another thread:

Yes it will RUN, although not very well, it will get very choppy.
I strongly recommend having at the least 512MB RAM and a 128mb Graphics card.

I played with 256mb ram once (DDRAM) and it was hell, one of my memories burned up. I turned down the resolution to 800x600, which looks horrid if you ask me and it still lagged.
Anything less than 512 is unplayable if you ask me.

Edit:
Oh yeah BTW, good idea Zanon, I was also getting kida annoyed at seeing 2-5 of these pop up here every day. :P

Hi,

Just wanted to point out that these posts aren't useless. The system specifications posted by software manufacturers are not perfect. Sometimes, there are weird quirks and incompatibilities with certain graphics cards that should be theoretically capable of running the game. Other times, the game technically runs, but it does so at an incredibly slow rate, making it almost totally unusable.

So, it can be helpful for people to say "Hey. This is my system. Will it run? Has anyone else with a similar system tried to run this game?"

Instead of telling people to RTFM, those who find such threads annoying should just ignore them.

Carbonel thats why there are Minimum requirements. If my cpu specs are Lower than the requierments needed to even play the game at its lowest settings than why should I ask if my cpu can even play it. its Just common sence.

Even if you just meet the minimum requierments you cant expect a game to move smoother.

Also were talking about a game that minimum requierments asks for more ram as minimum than FFXI, however I can run WOW at higher settings than i could have ran ffxi in.
