Fenix, first to hit 60!Follow

The reason blizz made the cap so easy to achieve is because they wanted players to experience the story from both factions Alliance and Horde, and to experience quests and such from all races. That is why you can create more than 1 different character.

Except you cant make a horde char once you have an alliance one and vice versa.

Which truely makes sense, and was a good idea in my opinion.

I have both a horde char and an alliance char on the same server.

You can have a horde and alliance toon on the same sever if it is a pve sever (not sure about rp). You can not have a horde and alliance toon on a pvp sever.

About the issue of fast leveling I disagree it takes away the felling of accomplishment of leveling. Granted I'm only level 14 but each level to me is very satisfying. One of the major reasons for is that questing is very rewarding and leveling allows for more skills and stats which lead to more quests.

I guess you could say each level is like a book. You might start with a bang with new skills and increased power. At the some time you have increased challenges of new quests. Then as youfre in the middle of the level there are still rewards but not nearly to the extent as the start of the level. Like a book it is there to move the plot along. Then you hit the end of the level you reached the climax and you are starting to understand the new skills and power you have. Like the book you come to grasp with that levels content then when you reach the next level you start this process over but with different quest and skills.

Just my two cents.

You can have both on all shards, regardless of type. Well, I can't say that. I don't know about RP, either. But I'm sure the same goes for that. I don't see why it wouldn't, and I don't know how the idea got put into their heads.

1) theres no such thing as shards.

2) if you already have a horde/alliance character on a pvp server, it will not let you create a race on the oposite faction.

3) you can delete the horde/alliance characters and switch to the other side, but you still cant have 2 of different factions on the same pvp server.

Why in the world would anyone want to get to lvl 60 in 2 weeks? What's the point?

edit: I'm more proud of the levels I achieve in WoW then I was of the one's I got in FFXI. I feel as if I earned the WoW levels more then the ones I got in FFXI because I'm not camping in one spot and killing the same mobs over and over. I'm questing and hunting and accomplishing goals to get my levels.

We know people are doing it... who would see him speed hacking when nobody else was in his zone?....

He is a hacker for sure. Dont care if he has played before speed hacking increases the rate of lvling by alot.

No, but I do care to think that you're an idiot.

Uhh... Shard is one of the many terms used to name the server you play on. Shard, Realm, Server, World, etc.

Edit: Also, for you disbalieving types, Domain of Pain (Fenix's guild) has taken the top in quite a few games. They were #1 in the US for CPL Summer 2002 CS, #4th in the world. Feel free to look it up on the internet, easily found.

2 Wow levels = 1 ffxi level.

While this doesn't hold true in all respects this is how it feels for me.

Honestly i can't figure out why you bother with odd levels. Almost ever class skill is based on an even number level.

5 minutes of fun playing in WoW = 5 hours of not-fun farming in FFXi, followed by 2 hours of repetition.

So does that mean they hack better than every other CS player?

Most items have a required level that is an odd number.

No way, I can take any job in FFXI to 25 in a week. My mage is retired at 27 and I started him about 2 weeks before WoW.

I think why people are leveling faster is because they can fight anytime they want, they don't have to wait for a group. Getting a group in FFXI can take a long time depending on the class and level, then you have to hope you get some mature serious people, not some 12 year old that decided to play for 15 mins before bed and disrupts the gruop by not informing of his leaving in advance.

It takes you two weeks to take a job in FFXI to 25? 30 can be done in two days.

55-60 in WoW is about the same as 70-71 in FFXI.

I work and have a gf. I only play about 3-4 hours weekdays when I can, so getting to 25 in a week is based on casual play.

FFXI levels were long, and extremely boring. I never felt that I "accomplished" more in FFXI, since it took me a long time finding a pt, then I had to go to the same place EVERYONE went just to camp one monster for hours.

More time played does not mean more feeling of accomplishment. I like being able to accomplish something in an hour if I have a short time to play. We have all sorts of options in WoW for things to do. You CAN rush to 60, and if that is your thing, more power to ya. You can also spend time doing trades, or raising several characters together (which allows you to be completely self-sufficient, I might add).

First off, there is no reason to be down on power gamers. Second, play the game how you like! If grinding xp for endless hours in the same zone killing the same mob makes you happy, FFXI is there for ya. I just want to play a game, not work a second job ;-)
