Ok, another question ...
Am I able to pick servers, or be invited to a specific server? I have some old FFXI friends I wouldn't mind joining up with. Or even people from here. Good to start off knowing people.

Yes you can pick any server you want, although it is wise to ussually go for a medium sized server simply because of queues and lag.

You can pick from any available server; they're divided by time zone, but you can still pick servers on other time zones.
Each server is flagged as, "Normal," "RP," or, "PvP." I believe you've already decided to go PvP in one of the other threads. I'd say to try to get on a PvP server in your time zone, or one TZ away.

For being 6-7am in the morning, there sure is a lot of questions flying around.
:) I work 7pm to 7am ... get off in 10 minutes ... been looking into WoW and EQ2 all night, as I am finally parting ways with my FFXI account
