I am not trying to start a war. I'm on an RP server and even if there was an RP-PvP server I'd not go near it. Lineage, Eve, Lineage 2 have killed any desire I have for PvP, especially open PvP. Though I've flagged myself and defended my towns even on my PvE-RP server.
Still as you know Blizzard has announced that the dishonor system that was supposed to count for both PCs and NPCs will only extend to NPCs now and the "Race to Grief" has it seemed started in earnest. High levels in Moonglade, people talking of corps camping and graveyard camping (Both things that garner no punishment on PvP servers).
How long do you honestly think the PvP servers will remain the "Most Popular" servers?
It seems that the more I read, the more I talk to people, the more "uncomfortable" the non-committed are becoming on PvP servers. These are the people who are there to play with friends or to join pre-launch guilds.
To me it seems that much like many other games with PvP and PvE servers you are going to have a huge exodus to the PvP servers followed by them slowly petering out till they are mostly populated by a few "Die-hard" PvPers and the occasional "Well I have an alt there" people.
Of course I may be wrong, Blizzard may still decide to put in the original honor system, people may be more dedicated to the sense of "War" in Warcraft, or maybe there is something I don't understand about PvP having left it behind in my Old age.
