Hello~
I'm aware that there are small pets to be aquired in game and I'm wondering if anyone has come across a list of vendors, or monsters who drop them. Thanks for your time.

I've seen hawks in Darnassus and Cats in human lands. I've heard the dwarves have parrots. I know there are more but those are the ones I know about. The pets seems to be an inventory item and you can summon them or make them go away.
does anyone have any info on locations of vendors?

There is a snake vendor in Ogrimmar, a Parrot Vendor in Booty Bay, a Praie Dog vendor in Thunder bluff, and a cat vendor between Strom Wind and Goldshire. (Those are the ones I've seen personally.)
I've hear rumors of a roach vendor in Undercity as well.

What does the "level" next to the pet mean? I know it isn't a level requirement - I got a cat when I was level 12. Also, does anyone know if Alliance players can get horde pets (cockroaches, snakes, etc)?
are these just plain pets that follow you around? or do they help fight n stuff.. Im a 10 druid and i found the eagle vendor in Damassus, i thought it would be cool to have one XD

I purchased the collectors Ed. but never had an option of choosing a pet diablo or anything of the like.
Any idea on how to get it?
I know I have a gift in my inventory, but I'm not sure how to use it... or even if it's the "gift" that allows a diablo, panda or zergling.
As far as I can tell, there is nothing mentioned in the manual, so I'm a bit lost.

Right click the gift box and it will start a quest. The quest is to move about 10' from your starting position (where you started the game) to an NPC and exchange the gift box for an inventory item that summons a mini-Diablo, Zergling or Panda Cub. You can pick any of those three items as your quest reward.
I've been waiting for a perfect chance to ask this.. and here it is:
Since I bought the collectors edition, I love the free pet and all, but is it fair that I have one less inventory space than all the players who didn't buy the CE? Its not as if my pet helps my game in any way.
