To be..or not to be!Follow

Well, ignoring my signature I think I have been swooned to the WoW side after reading some good reviews of it and deciding my time is too short for other such unnamed never ending quest..type of games../cough

Buuuut from all of you wonderful players I just have to know, is leveling fast enough that even a casual gamer who might only score a few hours a day can level several characters together?

Mostly I ask because I love roleplay..always have...I would truly like to make what I see as a hunter, being a NE Bow user.

Though...a friggin gun?! Are you kidding me?? Its like when they put the chocolate in the milk...them sly people them!

Anyways...So I also would like to make a Dwarf Hunter...is it a waste of time? I know end game they will make benefits to being gun or bow user about the same for balance. I also will end up with a tank type character and some sort of caster because I always get sucked into trying each "flavor" if you will.

So am I asking maybe TOO much outta this or does leveling seem to go pretty quick?

Thanks ahead of time!

P.S. I do not care about leveling quickly its just if I spend alot of time on two hunters ( which seems pointless I know ) will I lag behind alot of friends for nothing really?

I leveled a Dwarf Pally from 1-7 in about an hour last night while stopping to do the quests along the way. That fast enough??

that is the question whether is nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, or to take arms against a sea of troubles and by opposing end them. To die: to sleep; no more; and by sleep to say we end the heart-ache, and the thousand natural shocks that flesh is heir to, 'tis a consummation devoutly to be wish'd. To die: to sleep; perchance to dream: ay there's the rub...

sorry I'm doing this off the top of my head so I'm not sure if thats right

1-15 is very fast 15-30 you can average 1 level a night. Never got any of my characters above 35ish in beta but it did slow down.

One nice thing about leveling 2 characters at the same time is the nice big rest bonuses you will get if you can let the character rest for 2-3 days at a time. If I remember correctly it is 10% for every 8 hours so for 2 days between playing that is a rest bonus that will last you for 60% of a level. If you are unfamiliar with the rest business it basicaly means that you will get 200% XP for a mob kill while rested ie. a mob that give 50 xp in normal state will give you 100 xp in rested state.

There's a "rest cap," where resting further does nothing to extend your two-fer xp bonus.

As for a "waste of time" question the OA asked. Are you coming from the angle, "will it be boring to play two of the same classes, simply with different facades?" If so, the parallels between two races playing the same class are inextricably close. You will be doing the same quests, some with a slighly different flavor, but your ride will be pretty equivocal. Now, there are plenty of ways to differenciate your gameplay of two Hunters of different races, most of which are realized through Talents. You could play your Night Elf as a stealthy bower, who's arrows are more vicious than the maw of his trusty tiger; or as the stout Dwarf who's Axe bites just as deep as his bear, and his gun's just a means to get a partner to tango with. It's really up to you how you play any character; if you play them the same, your experience will be the same. Hell, you could play a Hunter like a Warrior and when you get to playing a warrior wonder if there's a difference between the two! =)

...for in the sleep of death, what dreams may come when we have shuffled off this mortal coil. Must give us pause, theres the respect that makes calamity of so long life. For who would bear the whips and scorns of time, the oppressors wrong, the proud man's contumely, the pangs of despised love, the laws delay, the insolence of office, and the spurns that patient merit of the unworthy tak'th. When he himself might his quietus make with a bare bodkin. Who would fardels bear to grunt and sweat under a weary life, but that the dread of something after death. The undiscovered country, from whose bourn, no traveller returns, puzzles the will. And rather makes us bear thsoe ills we have, than fly to others we know not of?...And thus, consciounce does/doth make cowards of us all. And thus the native hue of resolution, is sicklied o'er the pale cast of though. With enterprise of great pitch an moment, and in this regard their currents turn awry, and lose the name of action.
Soft you now...Fair Ophelia...Nymph in thy orisons...Be all my sins remember'd...

Anyone else do this monologue for drama? this is all from memory excuse minor errors here too...

on a side-note... Im hoping noone plans to repeat this in plans of suicide from loss of WoW character...Maybe sticking with just one character will keep you less attached? But then will you enjoy the full feeling that you honestly want from WoW...

And thus man in his infinite glory took forth the mighty systems of fate,
so that to know our destiny's forever lay,
in the roulette,
of eeny,
miney,
and moe,

then again you could always start both and if you find your falling behind stop the other one >.>
