Is a mouse absolutely necessary in this game? or can i tab over things like ffxi , i dont use a mouse at all in ffxi..

would like to know before i pick it up, thanks!

I didn't use a mouse at all in ffxi because, well, it sucked.

In this game, however, the mouse is your friend.

Well you can tab through enemies in WoW, but unlike FFXI where using the mouse was counter-intuitive since the game was designed for PS2, mouse use in WoW is actually very useful I found. I played FFXI for 10 mths and, like you, I never used the mouse. However you will find that since WoW's GUI was designed for PC usage that using the mouse is actually second nature and perhaps even required. At least thats how I feel.

If you decide to only use the mouse rarely, please for the love of god never pvp....well...on my side at least.

I'd say the mouse is required. Unlike the ... unique controls of FFXI, you can basically use mouse-look in this game. Use the WASD keys and the mouse, makes controlling your character really easy. Much easier that the stupid numpad controls in FFXI ever were.

You might be able to play with just the keyboard, but honestly, why would you want to? I find it much easier with the mouse and keyboard to control than FFXI ever was.

(BTW, the "Back" button on the mouse activates Auto-Run - so you can actually move around soley with the mouse. I find that very useful, personally.)

Because I have my vid card plugged to my tv and i lay on my bed with my keyboard in my lap XD pillow aint that good a mousepad, even for a optical mouse ^^ thats why i ask

Im A PC Gamer... I Play On PC Because I HATE, I HATE, I HATE Console Controllers... It Feels Like A Damn Toy... Playing FFXI Felt Like Having One Hand Behind My Back... Of Course Im A Hard-Core FPS Death Matcher...

I don't know why anyone would have played with the lame numpad controls. =p

If you set the keyboard to compact mode, you had WASD for movement and the arrow keys to control the camera. I much prefer keyboard camera control to mouselook, because using the mouse is awkward and less efficient especially if you use a lot of hotkeys for your actions. You don't have to keep moving your hand back and forth when you want to type anything, either. Is there any way to bind camera control to the arrow keys?

I mean, I'll just deal with it if there isn't... but it would be nice.

where do i set the keyboard for compact, because arrow keys for camera control would help ALOT thanks !

I had another question, is there any way to make the tips and the quest text to be bigger?
