How is the lag on the servers and is there (plentiful downtime) going for comparison for those that went for the beta and noticed many many lag spikes. k thnx

lol. That was just plain mean.
There was a huge lag storm last night on my server (Uther)...NPC disappeared, pets froze...everyone stood around. Funny thing that chat works fine while lagging...so the ***** and whine fest began, then everything seemed to right itself. Played for another hour or so without lag and they announced the server was going down.
One funny thing...they began a countdown..."server going down in 4 min", "Server going down in 3:45" etc...they got to about a minute and a half and the message came back, "shutdown aborted". Every began saying, "very funny bliz" and "whew, now we can go do that quest" and wham...server went down. Gotta love it.

You should have been in Open Beta everytime they announced a shutdown everyones was yelling out stupid comments and claiming their life was over. My favorite thing about Open Beta was when Blizz announced server restarts and then there is always one guy that moans about it and doesn't have a clue about what a restart was until I explained and pointed out he was a moron.
Yeah, there was a lot of that in open beta...such is the way open beta goes. The stress tests and closed beta was populated by people a little more savvy about the ways of beta...of course, I said a little. hehe
I have only had lag bad one day on my server since release. It is all going to depend on where you go and time of play i would guess. Ofcourse i was out last night and didn't get to witness the so called system crash of all 80 servers going down. Overall though i have had no queue to wait in, no loot lag or any NPCs freezing up since i got the game on release day. Well make that 2 days after release because i did switch servers after 2 days.
Just experiment around untill you find a good server to play on.
