Soul Link and DrinksFollow

Hey mates,

Two questions if ya don't mind. I posted these on the main WoW forums, but I thought maybe you guys would have better info. ^^

First, does anyone know how the Warlock talent "Soul Link" works? It says in the strat guide that it's a 30 point talent that grants the ability to split damage taken between caster and pet for 30 seconds. Does this mean that when the Warlock gets hit he splits damage with the pet? When the pet gets hit he splits damage with the Warlock? Or both...?

Second, is there a way to disengage combat quickly in order to gulp down some milk or juice to recover mana? I've seen video's of pvp battles where people seem to stop mid-fight to pop a squat and toss back some beverage. I have no clue how to do this as every time I try to drink when I've rooted something, I just get an error message saying I'm still in combat.

Thankee-sai.

Well if anyone was curious I got the answer to the Soul Link question off the official forums.

It only works one way. If your pet is tanking you can activate Soul Link to allow pet to receive 75% damage while you take 25%. Pretty cruddy pick for a level 30 talent IMO.

Still looking for an answer on the drink situation though. TIA

Actually, that's a pretty useful ability.

75% of the damage may seem like alot and it is, but that extra 25% the pet isn't taking could mean the difference between finishing the fight and ending up dead.

That extra bit of damage that is saved could be very invaluable. Remember, after your pet is dead, the monster's coming after you.

Anything that helps your pet stay alive longer is a good thing.

Yeah I see what you mean, but I'm kind of comming from a PVP standpoint. It's an OK ability, but I'm definitely not going max out that talent tree like I was thinking earlier. This ability is strcitly for PVE which is O.K., it's just that for the cost I'd like to have something that could help me no matter what situation I'm in.

Thanks for response though, Seoman. Anyone have any idea about the milk breaks?

To disengage you can either select something else with left-click or simply click the ground, with left-click. Im quite sure this works...

Now as your situation stands, it's possible that you will have known how to disengage. So in your case, your pet fighting might still count as combat.

Edit* head wasnt on straight funky grammar
