Be careful of boats.Follow

Be very careful when using boats or zeplins for travle. If you fall off them, you will not be able to play the character, you shall get stuck in the ship map splash screen and the only way to fix this will be to contact a GM with another character and be online.

Later this may be less of a problem, but currently GM response times are so bad I've had an open ticket for over 7 hours.

How about, using soulstone?

I have not fallen off either boat or zeplin yet, but everytime I take one the game crashes (when zoning) and I have to log back in.

This happened to me in beta, and I had to wait two days for it to be rectified.

I logged out in Ironforge, and when I came back online after server maint, I was in that inter-continental splash screen. I couldn't see my UI or anything, hence I could not unstick or hearthstone. I sent a GM ticket and 24 hours later I got an email telling me that I had been moved. I logged back on and lo and behold, same problem. I made another ticket (on an alt) and sooner or later talked to the NICEST GM ever. He 'moved' my character and told me to log in to it. After he moved me, I ended up in this empty vast expanse, falling endlessly (hence I could not hearthstone). No floor, just sky. It was fun. Then 15 seconds later, I was back in Ironforge. I thanked him profusely.

But my advice to you all is that if you are laggy, avoid ships. Griffins aren't as bad when you lag, you just fly through mountains, but you don't get stuck.
