Please help. Flashing colorsFollow

Alright, I have one major problem with this game.
When I bought, installed and dl'd the patch i was happy everything was going smoothly..... once i created my character, a dwarft/hunter, and started to play the game, i noticed at first that there were a bunch of random colors flashing on my screen. I think the game calls it Screen Tearing ? not sure.
Anyways I am hopeing that some one out there will be able to help me fix this problem. My video card plays FFxi like a smooth dream, and the minimul requirements on WoW are lower than FFxi. So why the heck am i having problems with flashing colors ? I hope its just a maintenance issue of some kind or maybe its just the place I was in ? dwarf starting city ? heck maybe it was the server, who knows, but if someone could confirm to me why i am actually having these problems and maybe how to fix them=, that would be awsome. thanks to anyone who answers.

OK Well, in all likelihood, if no one else had the problem, it was a client-side thing, not a server side one.

First of all, did you try reinstalling your drivers (video card etc)? I've found that can help. Some people are having similar problems which are almost always solved by doing just that.

Try it out and let me know.

Good luck :)

Update your drivers from your video card's web site. I had the problem for about 10 seconds till I did that. All good now.

I didn't have the exact same problem, but whenever I would go to a beach the surf crawlers would emit a massive amount of light. At first I thought maybe they were just glowy, then it got out of hand...the whole screen was full of light when I was facing a crawler, so I updated my video drivers and it fixed it. =)
