Edit: Ive decided to include rumous and possibilities for things already implented or being implemented in the game

Well since servers are down and my copy of WoW hasnt arrived yet...
I think its time to start thinking about the Future!

What do you Expect in the future up and coming WoW Expansion?!?

I will try to expand this list as much as i can, however when my WoW arrives i cant promise anything :)

This list will be based only on what weve seen so far, for all we know some thing might already be in the game.

Things were looking forward to in WoW Expansion:

-Illidan/Arthas, (duh)
-A portal to another plane, perhaps a dark one...? (dark portal, Draenor style)
-Pandaren Village
-Neutral City
-New Races (goblins)
-New Classes
-More In-Depth character creation, (More Variables at creation)
-Scourge Invasion
-Northrend
-More Pets
-More Mounts
-Mounted Combat
-PC to PC Bounty

According to Blizzard awhile back, Illidan is ingame and is the strongest NPC thus far. As for portal to another world, rumor has it that a giant infernal guards the entrance of the Outlands...

As for what Blizzard will be putting in, Northrend for sure. 4 years have passed since the Arthas/Lich King merging so Arthas should be set for another Scrouge invasion.

Arthas is dead. Why? Because I say so ;)

What do you mean by a "Dark Plane"? There are many areas, in the game, that could be classified as "dark".

In the expansion, I would just like to see some standard things:

1) New races.
2) New classes.
3) More, in-depth, character creation.

EDIT: A nutural city could be nice, but I would play PvE if I wanted something like that.

You are moving kinda fast >.> but the idea is interesting. I really don't know what to expect from a expansion because I only tapped into this game for a couple of hours.

-Pandaren Village

okay I've seen this all over the place what the heck is a pandaren? I understand they are a panda based race but how do they fit into Warcraft? were they in Warcraft 3 or frozen throne (I lost my copy of the game so I haven't finished it yet)?

^^ pandaren were originally planned as a little joke during the release of WCIII ROC. They were on the little circular design in the middle of the demon hunter's blades. However they were not Implemented until TFT expansion as the "pandaren brewmaster" neutral hero. Although never planned for the WoW release >.> ...We have seen their pet-like counterparts in the collectors edition special pet. And hopefully we will see their wonderful village, hopefully full with breweries <.< ... In the coming WoW Expansion!

... yes it is coming, it is inevitable...

Edit* Realized i had not made an important point...

PANDA PANDA PANDA PANDA PANDA! bamboo bamboo ! PANDA PANDA PANDA PANDA PANDA! <insert referenced animal> !

Hey a good idea for the time to come "MOUNTED COMBAT" give it to the one of the most nurfed class warriors. Plus I would like to see goblins as a playable race and may be bring in some invasion mobs which will seek you out and kick your butt. And what about putting in bounty on PC, for bad factions pts or set up by players who give out mission to one pc to do. IE: player 1 sets bounty on Player 2 for 2g which player 3 and only player 3 picks up and goes off to do. hehehe just ideas.

I like WoW fine the way it is, or at least how it was until open beta ended, have not played since then, damn delayed euro release, but here are some ideas anyway.

Naga playable race! (horde only, would need another race added to alliance to balance maybe?), for those dont don't know Naga = the upright fishmen, not the ones with legs, but the ones that 'walk' or slither on thier tail, the ones I saw ingame were light blue/green in skin color. Bonuses: swimming, water breathing etc maybe add some kind of AoE tidal wave special attack refresh 5 or 10 mins.

also add 'demon hunter' as a playable class making them specialise in demon and undead damage output (but not weak against other foes), ofcourse undead race would have to be flagged undead again and not humanoids as they are now. make demon hunters like a martial atrist type fighter = light armor but high damage output and no pets.

enough, I wanna go play something, all this wow talk is giving me cold turkey, euro release please! or at least next euro beta phase now! thanks :)

THE NAGA!!!

That could be an expansion on its own. "The Naga Prophecies" is what they could call it.

I Would Like A New Faction Myself, Illidans Faction From TFT

Would Include: Naga, Dreanai (I Think Thats How Its Spelled), Blood Elves, And Satyr

The Naga, Dreanai, And Blood Elf Starting Locations Would Be In Outland (Remnants Of Dreanor), With The Obligitory Race Cut Off From Allies (Think Night Elves and Undead) Would Be They Satyr Probably Somewhere In Kalimdor.

Add In Another Faction Only Class (Since Horde And Alliance Have Theirs) I Was Thinking The Spellbreaker.

I Would Also Like Access To The Twisting Nether In An Expansion

And The Full Implementation Of Hero Classes.

How about we focus on the game itself and get to cap and then think about expansions? I don't see the need for expansions yet it's way to early to even be thinking about them. There are many updates that will improve gameplay like battlegrounds and etc.

I agree with Gihja.

Let's worry about how to improve the game we have now before we add more complications with an expansion.

But because of the MMORPG market being what it is, the new expansion will come in 6 months to 9 months from now.

Bleh, too many people trying to make these expansions EQish("Hey, we havent added a new race in lately, lets put this one in." ..."whats that, you say it would be nice to add another class, ok, lets do it"..."what lore? who cares about lore, lets just throw some guy thats suposed to be their saviour in there that should do")

That's exactly what I'm afraid of.

An expansion put out just for the sake of an expansion, no thought behind it, no connection. Just put out there because people seem to be clamoring for it.

Northrend and Outlands are obvious "xpac terrain" material. I don't expect to see new races / factions for players, but maybe new Argent Dawn type groups, such as the Blood Elves. Other areas not yet implement in the game include the northernmost regions of Lordaeron: Quel`Thalas and Zul`Aman. It is almost certain that Kel`Thuzad resides in Quel`Thalas, so we could see him introduced in the future as a BBEG.

New classes? Personally I cant think of anymore class that is unique and balance. Having another would disrupt the game's balance.

Look at FF XI. You have many new jobs, you get "This job is better".. and if you play a job you like "You sucks! You do know that job sucks dont you?"...

I'm hoping for more maps, quests, level caps, items, armors, weapons.. the usual stuff :D
And the PC to PC bounty would be good, though I doubt it because if you are the bounty you could just call your friend and have them kill you and share the loot..

More receipes I guess.. and more that I cant think right now

I also hope that expansions don't turn into EQ ones. A good example of what I'm talking about is a post made by a WoW player on the main boards called "I didn't choose WoW over EQ2." It explains how after luclin the game went straight down the toilet because only 20% of all people playing experienced the high end content because of SoEs ways.
#20 Dec 02 2004 at 7:48 PM Rating: Decent
i think that they should make a new faction that uses the naga, the illidans, goblins and somthing else
#21 Dec 02 2004 at 8:11 PM Rating: Decent
No because that would be so imbalanced and would take way to long to make all the content for that.
#22 Dec 02 2004 at 8:34 PM Rating: Decent
Hero classes where you can start over from level 1 after you get to level 60 and do a quest to switch! It would be fun for me at least...

More areas to explore of course. There are already lots, but the more the better IMO.

Death Knight as a normal class! I realize there aren't a lot of death knights if any other then the one in warcraft lore, but it seems that the Paladin needs a death knight counterpart and the shaman isn't it.

I wish companies weren't so x-pack happy. I used to play Asheron's Call for a while, and that game only had one x-pack in 5 years, so far. They're just now working on a 2nd. The first pack added player housing and tons of new areas and quests (but mainly player housing). The dev team provided new quests, upgrades, islands, cities, and other stuff via free monthly updates. Every single month, without failure, new content and new storyline was released completely for free. Seems like everyone wants to follow EQs lead now and just release an x-pack every 6-12 months for people to buy, and they usually suck. Like Chains of Promathia... I still can't get to the new content because I don't have a massive, compentant group to get the promyvion dungeons finished. So...I wasted $30. And now I play WoW. Heh heh.

Of course the Shaman is the counterpart to the Paladin. The Paladin believes in the Light, which is a belief unique only to Humans and Dwarves. The Horde, on the other hand, believe in the shamanistic spirits of nature. The Paladin and Shaman embody these two different beliefs and thus are counterparts to one another.

Death Knights, on the other hand, are supposed to be powerful warriors, given demonically charged runeblades (guess what, one of the best swords in the game is a runeblade...) to slay their enemies with. No self-respecting member of the Horde would be a Death Knight, maybe a Forsaken (even then, a Death Knight is only given power from the Lich King...).

Monkey's. Huge hairy angry mean disgusting butt scratching Monkey's. Maybe even Zombie Monkey's.

Honestly, I'm happy with the game being out. Hell, I haven't gotten through enough of the game yet to need an expansion and I probably won't till I have 2 level 60's.
