Um...hi.Follow

This is probably the most pointless thread I've ever started, but since there are no server forums, I'm putting it here.

Just wanted to say "hi" to everyone playing WoW now that it's out. I'm having a lot of fun, and in the back of my mind wondering how I'm going to pay for both FFXI and WoW, as I didn't expect it to be quite as fun as it is so far.

I like how friendly everyone seems to be, aside from the 5% who played beta and say "stfu noob" every chance they get, but that happens with anything I guess. So far, probably due to its being new, it's really easy to just grab a few people to do a quest and then disband, and everyone talks on general chat almost as if it were their own guild chat. It's really nice.

Anyway, I really just wrote this to say "hi" and to have at least one thread/post on this forum.

I doubt that's going to happen anytime soon, really.

I like each game for different reasons. I like FFXI because I get to meet and know people more easily there, and because I can talk with a greater proportion of the players. I also like the strategy involved in the lengthy, single-monster battles, and in being a spellcaster that watches the elements of the world closely.

I like WoW because I don't have to sit around for hours to play. I can log in, play some in between classes, and then log out. And while the battles aren't as strategic, they're fast-paced, which is something that's just pure fun. I also get to play a summoner type class that actually gets to have summoned monsters fight for them.
