Hi I'm from FFXI and one thing I don't like about it is that you have to sometimes wait for hours to get a couple thousand xp. Anyway I have been hearing it's possible to solo for xp but these people have been only 15 or so in WoW. Can you still solo at even higher levels until max? Thanks for your time in replying.

I think it's inaccurate to say you're xping. I've gotten to lvl 14, and I have never gone xping. I dont intend on it anytime soon either.

In WoW it is possible to take ANY job you want and solo from level 1-60.
However since parties need not be "cookie-cutter" to succed i'm sure you will find yourself in parties more often then you thought.
I really hope I can sit down soon and play for more then 2 hours soon.
yes you probably could solo from 1-60 but if you ever tried doing an elite quest solo you'd get tore up.

Yea, but there's downtime to consider.
people always complained on FFXI that they couldnt solo... i got up to having a 60 mnk and could still take decent challanges. i think it was more the difficulty of it than anything, people who didnt want to get the best gear they could found out they had problems. but fact remains, soloing is easier on WoW, no doubt, and less risky.

My first job was whm so I couldn't even take on easy prey's at 75, I'm sure monk is easier =P
I've found a major difference with grouping (compared to FFXI) to be that you tend to make quick pick-up groups to complete ceratin parts of quests, like killing a certain elite mob or a certain number of a specific mob... These groups complete the mission and then everyone goes on their way to the next great adventure... Solo...
I wouldn't see the need to make a group and go camp, grinding thru mobs, as is the case in FFXI as the Quests are so well planned and continue to challenge you as you level and there are so many available. Of course, I've only achieved level 18...
I guess the instances or raids may be more of the FFXI-style of required grouping.

With multiple characters I have level'd to 18 to 20 all from questing, of course the random killing of mobs to complete those quests as well. My point is, doing quests is more efficient than going "xp'ing". Although, solo'ing with a priest is very hard around level 16+.
If you know what quests to do, and which not to do, you can easily gain ten levels (from level one) in, or under, six hours.
The only parties I had ever joined, up to level 18/20, were for Elite quests. Such as the Hordes Ragefire Chasm.
