Hype or Truth?Follow

I played FFXI for 6 months and quit after I hit level 35 with my monk. I basically quit for the same reasons that are in so many of these posts so I won't repeat what's already been said...

Anyhoo...I am thinking to pick up WOW because I heard that it is not a time sink like FFXI. It is apparently a game for the casual gamer. This sounds too good to be true.

Just wonderin' if anyone from experience in the Beta can verify. I just don't want to find out down the road that I need to invest stupid amounts of time, that I don't have, to achieve almost nothing.

In short, any reply from someone who has played up to the level cap as well as tried their hand in crafting, questing etc.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Unlike FFXI, it doesn't require you to spend hours looking for a PT or waiting for a n00b to find you in the dunes. I can log on and play WoW for 10 min and have fun, gain some EXP and perhaps even do a quest....

It's so casual that you can level ANY JOB with average (or less) equipment COMPLETELY by yourself if you REALLY want to.

This game is THE casual MMORPG. That and it's the first MMORPG that I have liked the idea of the PvP servers. Haven't gotten too far in to determine if i'll enjoy the PvP server.

Though if in the end I don't it is fairly easy to just start over on another server from scratch.
