Giving this a chanceFollow

Well, I was dreading the release of this game for a long time, but after reading the posts here I'm going to give it a fair shot alongside EQ2.

Before I begin, is there anything (besides /leave 1) that I should do to avoid biasing myself against the game, or anything that just improves the game in general?

Also, are there any significant technical issues with the game that I should be aware of before I begin playing? The blizzard forums make me sick, so I don't want to dredge through the thousands of b.net kiddies who flame every legitimate post there to find the small shred of useful information.

Hope to see a few of you around in the game when I get in :P

All I have 2 say is, DONT turn around and walk out the door because of lag. Maybe EQ2 had a smooth launch, but obviously WoW is not, within a month (maximum, and i think itll be a day or 2) lag problems will most likely be fixed.

Also, the community sucks, theres tons of jackass's in this game...

In wow youll find anything. when open beta went live there where 500,000 people in the game in 6 hours. This is excluding all the people who couldnt make it to OB.

I bet WOW is selling like hotcakes.

I never played a warcraft game before. Homeworld was my game when it came for stratergy. This MMO took me away from playing others. its just pure fun.
