I am running the 17" flat screen 800mhz imac with 512ram. I know the WoW requirements are 933mhz, but sometimes you can get away with a little less. Any one know if i can run WoW on my comp?

I would say that if you're on a G4 you'll be okay ... as long as it has some graphics processor... Turn everything down to minimum, and expect 10-12 FPS with 6-10 FPS in crowded areas, but it will probably work.

You might consider buying a ultra-cheap PC to play though - because once you get up to higher levels and are involved in raids and stuff, your comp just won't be able to keep up.

I play sometimes at school/work on my 1 Ghz iBook w/ 768 Megs of RAM and ATI Radeon 9200 - and even that's very slow. In fact, even my friend's dad's brand new 20" iMac G5 doesn't play the game very quickly.

Nevertheless - I love my Mac! For everything except gaming I wouldn't give it up for anything - and that's why I have a Gaming PC ... Best of both worlds!

It's the RAM more than the MHZ. Running this on my 867 MHZ powerbook with 768 MB of ram and it runs great even in crowded areas. My GF has less RAM on her powerbook, like 512, same processor, also works. Just MAKE SURE you have enough RAM and the 32 MB VRam requirement, if you don't meet both of those you might have problems, but if you have a G4 and the memory it will be fine. I know from experience.

Oh it MAY get really choppy, you might be unable to move for minutes or even hours at a time, and the game may not let you move smoothly instead causing you to jump around a bit, don't be alarmed, its not your macs fault, its the servers from hell reacting to overpopulation. If you get in when noone else is you'll see the computer is running it just fine even in crowded areas.

I have a 1.5ghz Powerbook with 2gb RAM and the game runs better than on my PC which supposedly has superior specs. Not to mention the game loaded faster on the Mac then the PC. I love my Mac, the only reason we have a PC is for my graphic designer wife who needs to be able to open PC programs when she gets them.
