ok already im seeing things like people talking about how easy it is to lvl. when in fact it takes a bit. Some are talking about how ffxi to so long and this doesnt. Cmon people I know people who went from 1-50 in a week. So yes im sure there are people who will get to 50 quickly in this game. However most people are still lvls 4-9. I love this game and just wish people would stop complaining. If its not one thing its another. sorry to vent just been bugging me.

/agree

The casual gamer like myself can invest an hour at a time and still have fun and get decent XP to level.
The more agressive gamer can invest many hours and gain several levels in one sitting.

The game is geared towards ALL players. FFXI was geared towards people who had at least 2 hours to commit to a session. That's why the leveling is so different.

That only happened in the closed beta too...I doubt we will see anyone even at 20 this week. Or at least I hope not. All you losers out there, take a break and get some sleep. Then tell your mothers that you love them. Chances are you haven't talked to her since EQ came out.

People will invariably reduce their distaste for WoW, or any other game for that matter, by picking on one aspect that can be spun negatively and hammering it; it's not unlike Rightwing Radio. As if comparitive leveling speed is really a debatable issue; hello Mr. Apple, I'd love to introduce you to Mr. Orange--nevermind the dimples, he's alright with us.

It doesn't count unless I had said "Tell my mother that you love her." Dork. Smiley: smile

It's not easy to level. It's easy to powerlevel. If your only objective is to grind to get that next "ding", then you'll be able to.

But keep in mind, it's those same people that get to level 40 in a week that will cry, moan, and pout that there is no content when they skipped all the content that was availible to them.

I don't know how to do the nice pretty quotes, but to the person who said he doubts there will be anyone level 20 this week...When i logged off at 9 pacific time last night on Cenarius I had seen a level 18. If he didn't get 20 last night before he logged It's pretty much a givin that he'll get it today.

Exactly, I have a few friends that are power gamers and It's their goal to get to the lv cap asap. Then they'll sit and whine that there isn't enough chalanging end game content. But hey I'll end up getting some moeny and most liekly a few PL session cuase they are board =P

ok like i said some people will probably hit 40 within the first week. Yes they are missing out but if its fun to them let them be 40 good for them. however about there not being enough end game content. Blizard has repeatdly said they intended for the game to actually start at 60. so im assuming theres a lot.

Too Late there were two level 20's last night on Uthor or whatever server I am on. I consider myself a casual player and am close to dinging level 10. Does that seem fast, I don't really think so, games tend to get slower as you get higher.
I am still torn between this and EQ2, though I have only given this game a night and didn't beta either one. It will be a tough decision in a week or two when I decide which one I am gonna stick with.
Just a few nights ago we got on a WoW conversation on EQ2 and someone brought up that you can solo 1-50 in a week on WoW, I think my exact response was "then I guess I will play WoW for a week and then come back to EQ2, I defineately hope it isn't that easy.
On a brighter note the world just looks amazing and runs smooth, though last night the lag killed me, then booted me after about 10 minutes waiting for my revive or whatever it is called to come up. I was happy this morning when I decided to play before work and I had and my quest was already updated that I was running to finish anyways. Hope everyone enjoyes there own experience with or without all the whines and P'levelers
