About time to expand the WoW forums, no?Follow
Considering the incredible amount of different FFXI forums, I would imagine that Allakhazam would be very near to creating the various finite forums for the different aspects of the game. It'd be nice to start working out tradeskill guides and such. ETA anyone?

Yes, but those will be sorely underutilized due to their lack of transparency to the normal viewing public. They want to be able to click "Forums" on the lefthand console and find their job/race/trade forum listed there. As of now, it only seems as if there is the WoW General Discussion.
Also the fact that every page of those class forums has the description between you and the post you want to read; it shouldn't be a scrollfest to get to the info you want.

Buy a premium membership so that Alla, Dana, Kao, and Pikko can eat this week. They like to make new forums after they have eaten. It makes their kids happy too.

But i do agree about streamlining the forums so they are a bit more like the FFXI site.

Considering I've used this site, pretty much exclusively, for FFXI for a year, I should have done that long ago... I just wish I could get them to change my account name to Krycis, instead of KrycisTemp. I botched my first account creation attempt thinking I didn't want them to have my email incase they were a list-seller.
Of course, that didn't work and now I've been using this "temporary" account for a year. Oh well.

I do agree though, a couple more 'main menu' forums would be nice, even if it was more like the FFXI side of things where there was a 'Jobs' link that listed all of the different jobs. A good forum for tradeskills would be nice also.
True that the posting on here doesn't go nearly as fast as the FFXI site yet, but the game has only been retail for a day. I imagine things picking up as more and more people start looking for resources, and it would be nice to have those resources divided out properly at the beginning instead of having them added on later.
The server forums of FFXI were usually spoonsored or hosted by posters who volunteered. I think

The server forums were always very slow and only a couple of them moved at all. The Job forums were beyond a doubt the best idea to come out of that site. Personally I don't think they have to go that far, building realm boards, but it'd be nice to see the Class forums made more prominent. Also, a trading forum might not be a bad idea if used properly:

Something like that would be very informative and easy to use....especially if Search was enabled for that forum only to keep the /bumps from clogging the arteries.

I want to wait to see how busy the forums get as time goes on. Since there are official forums, I expect these will not be as busy as the FFXI ones. My general philosophy is to have fewer forums that are actually used than a lot of forums that are mostly unused.
