I had a pretty frustrating first day, unfortunately. I got three crashes to the dreaded Error #132...after the first crashed I learned that Blizzard enacted the queues, unfortunately, so that made it more painful.

That said, I was able to get on two more times...I ended the night level 9 human priest and hooked up with my friend (dwarf) in Ironforge.

Overnight, I reinstalled on the hard drive I used for the Open Beta and tested it for two hours this morning.

/me knocks on wood

I was able this morning to play without issue...additionally, the East RP game actually felt like a RP server...refreshing.

FWIW, I've got some write-ups and screen shots on the site linked in my signature.

There is a nice spot in IF to fish in the Forlorn caverns and it so happens that the fishing trainer is directly behind you while you fish.

Well I wasn't on open Beta so everything last night was new to me.
When I started I was just saying WOW this is awesome there were so many people running around and no lag, unlike EQ2 which when one person runs by me it is insta lag (my poor computer needs some upgrading). So I had read the questing was the great part of the game so I see the guy with the ! above his head and figured that must be the guy. Quest was too kill some boars or whatever they are around the newb area where nightelves start. Only real problem I had was everyone and there grandmother were doing the same quest as me. I don't think I would be exagerating to say that 20 people were all in one tight packed area and KSing each other. That is understandable because it was opening day and I was expecting that.
I was close to level 6 when I did get a giant spider egg quest. By this point about 10pst everything was about 5 minutes behind. I would click on an npc hit the quest complete button, take a bio break, grab a beer, sit with the wife for a minute or two go back in the computer room, and then sometime within the next few minutes I would get my quest reward. It was wierd. This happened til I finally was killed by the spider after I grabbed the egg for the egg quest. It then took forever to go to the spirit world to get booted to desktop. So I gave up, fell asleep until about 3 this morning logged back on. The world ran great, made it within a couple of bubbles of dinging level 10.
I think instead of trying to level once I hit 10 I will work on tradeskills since I do not have a clue as to what I am doing tradeskilling and do not want to miss out on that part of the game.

I got up to level 13 with my human mage on the rp west coast server.

My tailoring is also up to 85 or something.

I mainly stopped at level 13 to utilize the newbie area's with my crafting abilities, and made almost 50-60 silver in about an hour.

When you enter Ironforge, pull up the map. You should see a little lake in the Northern part of the city (I think it's North anyway). You can fish there, and there is a trainer and supplier directly behind you. If you set your mouse pointer over the signs outside the stores they will let you know what's inside the stores.

Fishing tip #2 (that I can't take credit for)

If you run out to the Frozen Lake that's mentioned a few posts back there is a small camp of cooks and brewers. There is a woman standing on the dock of the "lake" that sells a fish recipe. If you fish here instead of inside Ironforge you can actually raise your fishing and cooking by useing the recipe you buy from her to cook the fish you catch at the Frozen Lake.

Happy Angling........
