Erm, yea right.

Sorry no I am just kidding. I played for 2 hours before i called it a night. I was so tired from lack of sleep in anticipation i really couldn't play too long. Felt like a christmas morning 8 year old sleeping in the wrapping paper.

I had fun though, flew through some quests i had already done. Nothing special.

What about you guys? Any first day accoplishments? What level are the powergamers?

I haven't gotten far at all, because the first server I choose, went to complete and utter ****, and I got to level 7 Paladin on that, then I went to another server, where currently I am a level 6 Paladin, but that server went to **** too. But I did keep the Paladin, didn't delete him like I did the first one.

Went and made a Orc Warrior, screwed around with that, but only got him to level 4.

So no great accomplishments, but having a great time so far. (Except for when servers lag so bad, you just don't want to play. :) )

Got Druid to almost 11 (had to help RL friends who were new to the game), did tons of crafting, and made all my friends armor. Would have gotten higher (aka 0 sleep) but The server went down. :(

Got to 11 before I went to bed. Taurin Druid. Even got attacked once in the Moonglade. Relatively unexciting. He was trying to bait me to fight, as he ran to the guards after tagging me with an instant spell. /ignore

My night was great! I got my tauren hunter over to the undead area and leveled with my undead warlock friend. The run was pretty easy and I only died once while on auto run and getting a soda.

Once I got there I had a blast killing off humans. Seriously, what were they thinking camping next to an undead town? Anyway, after 2 levels we decided to try some of the undead quests. Durring beta my friend was able to take up the taruen quests from the starting point but I found out I couldn't do the same with my tauren in the undead area. I couldn't even see the exclamation points above their heads. I'm not sure If this was a tauren/undead thing or a beta/final thing. So we went and killed some more humans untill we hit level four.

At about that point my gear was crapping out and I was fighting with my fists instead of an axe. So we decided to head to orgrimaar where I could get some upgrades and get some hunter training. On the way we stopped off at brill. A cool little undead town with a large spooky graveyard. While there my friend went to go get some warlock training while I headed off to the Inn. The Inn had some crazy rocking music playing so I hopped up on the table and busted out some moves.

Once we were ready we headed off to orgrimaar. It only took a few minutes to get there via zep. Neither one of us had seen orgrimaar in beta so we were really inpressed. It was amazing! Normally I take an hour or so and wander around getting to know the city but with my friend at my house I wanted to hurry and get back out to level. I used my strat guide which had all the shops marked so we hit about six of them to get everthing we needed. By the time we left we were fully rested.

Back in brill I discovered that I could pick up the quests there. So we started some undead questing. The quests were pretty cool and involved undead things and grave robbers. We weren't complaining and we had a blast. It was pretty late at this point so I decided to head to orgrimaar to buy some stuff I couldn't afford the first time and then hearthstone back to the tauren area. My friend came along for the ride and to get another look at orgrimaar.

Overall I had a great night. Even though I could have leveled faster and more efeciently by myself I had a lot more fun grouping with my friend. The undead area was awesome. Any place that has a zone called "Nightmare Vale" gets props in my book. Everywhere I went I got tons of questions from people on how I got there. They were pretty excited to see a low level tauren running around their area. Also all of the undead players were very nice and kindly strangers saved my butt more than once. I didn't do a whole lof of leveling in my first day but I had a lot of fun!

Wonderful night overall. Started my Dwarven Hunter and plowed through the Valley missions to get along to Khardaros (sp) and Ironforge. I'd done that part before so it was just a thrash of excitement to put 4-5 levels behind me and get on to the "big city". Suffered the embarassment of dying in the newbie valley due to my own stupidity ;)

Ran over to the next town and started working towards getting some money up. Once I hit 5th level I ran up to Ironforge to train in skinning, leatherworking, fishing, cooking, and first aid. Spent the rest of the evening questing and skinning in The Grizzled Den and my skinning is over 80 now.

Logged out about at 6th level or so, have a lot of light leather sitting in the AH hoping it will sell so i can train 2H axe and buy a new axe and gun.

level 15 hunter, but that's where I will remain for at least a week, if not more. Also leveled a paladin to 7 and a priest to 4. (Yeah, 12 hours is more than enough to sate me for a while, I hope.)

Started on my Troll shaman, got it up to 5 and decided to take a detour to the Undercity/Brill/Deathknell. Did a couple of quests there and then returned to Durotar since I figured I would do them again when my Undead priest gets off the ground.

I returned to Ogrimmar and started skinning/leatherworking. Before I knew it I had outfitted myself quite nicely--which was great since in the OB I never quite figured out how to craft. I got up to 7 and stopped since I need to wait for my friends to get on. I went and got my Orcish hunter to 7 as well (so I did a lot of the same quests but the playstsyle is so different....).

I had originally planned to take the time to get to Thunder Bluff from Durotar but I find the run long and stressful so I decided to postpone it.

AWw...I was so looking forward to ripping into you too Smiley: frown

I got a warlock to 6 and a pld to 5 before calling it a night. After FFXI, I can only sit still for about 3 hours, so I did pretty well.

Got my Paladin up to 8 and my skinnig skill up to 97. The game is fun so far and I've played it all solo. I've only got a couple of issues:

1) The mini map. I wish it was detailed more with areas you're supposed to go. I had this quest that just kept telling me to go west. I found the village, but I couldn't find the cave. And walking in the area is hazardous because of the agressive creatures.

2) Chat channels. Seems like all the kiddies sit in the channels and talk. I really don't want to see all that. I leave the channels, but I have to do that each time I enter the game. Anyone know of a way to tell WoW that I don't want to be logged into a channel at all?

Other than that, I love the game. Especially the the climb to Ironforge. It's so majestic!

Level 14 Priest and I believe this is the weakest solo class I've ever played to this early in the game, but I'm going to stick with it.

type /leave general or /leave # where # is the channel #. Trust me, it will only get worse. When people start crafting, you might as well turn off everything. It will be WTS LTB blah blah balh...

And you FFXIers thought L. Jeuno was bad....just wait till you see this Smiley: smile

I am wallowing in a sleep-deprived daze; why I haven't hit up my friend mister caffeine yet is beyond me. I took a WC break around 1:00 and though, "it's not THAT late" only to finally tucker out at SIX IN THE MORNING! With patching and getting Teamspeak up with a friend, the early hours ground on, but once the game was actually going...I was screwed: timewarp.

Accomplisments: 50 Engineering, 48 Mining, and barely a penny to my name. =)

I don't mind the WTS comments as long as they are using the appropriate channel. /leave 1 is usually the first thing that happens when I log in.

Little tip to help you profit from folks who are too rushed to use the Auction House.

During Beta, I would sit and fish in Ironforge when I had a lot of Light Leather or some such good to sell. You can work on your fishing (if you're into that like I am) and listen to the trade channels for good opportunities at the same time.

That's not a bad idea. Couple of questions though:
1) Is there a fishing trainer in Ironforge? (I'd ask a guard, but I'm logged out of the game at the moment :)
2) How do I actually say something into a channel?

Edit: Mmmmmm....2 dimensional Smiley: cheese

I joined the /trading channel, but it was awfully quiet all night long. I really wish I could get rid of some of the nice gear I've found, but cannot use, or don't need any longer.

Hop onto the frozen river right before the climb to Ironforge and head west. After about 90 seconds, you'll come to a frozen lake with a hole in the middle. You can fish there.

Sounds like a plan! I reather enjoy fishing in WoW, you can get some pretty nice items too. Friend of mine fished up a blue sword in an instance during OB. He was just ******** around waiting for someone who was Afk.
