Gosh Darn It.... I'm so Pissed at my local Gamestop. I place My pre-order a month in advance for CE version and called them this mourning and confirmed that I had the CE version, but when I got there was a change of scenerio.

Clerk: "May I help u?"

Me: "Yes I have a pre-order of WoW CE"

Clerk: "Oh according to my records u pre-order the SE version."

Me: "WTF! U mean SE I ordered CE stupid Trick!"

Clerk: "We are so sorry, here is ur copy"

Me: "Can I get a discount for the Mishap?"

Clerk: "I guess that would seem like the right thing to do. Here is $20 dollars off.

Me: Thank U stupid TRICK!"

So that's the story No pet, No Art book, Not a single collector item. I hope they sell the art book seperate. I would really like to have it.

DANG I'm so pissed at them. Never again will i preorder with them.

At least I got mine for 24.99 after i acted a fool in that place.

Well, that's kind of funny. You're correcting someone when you can't even spell "grammar" correctly.

Can't say i've had that exact problem, but my local gamestop has lost my pre-order slip before, several times actually. >.< And i always complain and get a discount but really how hard is it to file things correctly?

From what I've heard there's been quite a commotion over the CE distribution. I almost feel bad for buying a CE without a pre-order. Almost.

I have found that gamestop isnt really together, especially when it comes to what and when things will be shipped. I would recommend a Best Buy if you have one in your area, they are well organized and are a pretty popular store.

Yea the only thing with the Best Buy in my area is that they tend to put things late on the shelf. Hence that's why i could never use them. Might give EB a chance.

I stopped pre-ordering from gamestop after they screwed up 3 of my pre-orders in a row. Now I either pre-order online, or just go from store to store hunting for the game the day of the release.

I always just pre-order from EB...they've never given me any problems. I gotta order online from them though, since there aren't any near here. =(

Got mine at Best Buy without pre-order. And, yeah, similar story... to poster above, walked in and went to the area underneath the HUGE WoW display and picked up my copy from the few hundred displayed there.

Yeah, I'd go to EB too. They actually store your information in a computer, so it is easily found later. Gamestop uses a DOS POS and actually file your reserve in a box... I work at Gamestop, if I didn't get my discount I'd reserve stuff at EB. Not Best Buy though, don't trust them to get stuff out on time, and if I'm going into a large store anyways Fry's sells stuff cheaper.

Wow, didn't go anywhere but CompUSA. Walk in, saw the big monster display, decided either on orc cover or the NE, pick up NE and paid and left. But on the way out, saw people waiting in line for the CE because it was placed in the warehouse.

No pre-order needed.

I would recamend Fry's for anything computer, consol, ectish. I got my copy at EB, walked up:

Me: Can I have a copy of WOW?

Clerk: Sure dude, here

Me: Thanks

I pay him and walk out with copy

First day of release, in the morning, they had plenty of extras too
