Be a Gnome because everyone and their mother wants to be an Elf.
There's no difference between any race with a specific class in this game after a few levels.
#4 Nov 23 2004 at 4:35 AM Rating: Default
elves are greater only slightly becase the start with 1 more
stat point than the gnomes and they start with measly 1 more hp
so all in all they are basically the same. elves better only slightly.
#5 Nov 23 2004 at 4:37 AM Rating: Default
but of course thats only stats u have to decide what would be better
for u when it comes to class bonus

Gnome
Escape Artist: Activate to escape the effects of any immobilization or movement speed reduction effect. 1.5 second cast. 30 second cooldown.
Expansive Mind: +5% Intelligence
Arcane Resistance: +10 Arcane Resistance
Engineering Specialist: +15 Engineering Skill

Night Elf
Shadowmeld: Activate while immobile and out of combat to enter stealth mode.
Quickness: +1% Dodge
Wisp Spirit: Become a wisp when dead with movement speed increase of 50%.
Nature Resistance: +10 Nature Resistance

1 stat and 1 hp don't make a difference. That's just at level 1 anway, after a couple levels they're equal. That 1 stat and 1 hp will never have made a difference.
#7 Nov 23 2004 at 4:40 AM Rating: Default
sorry to say 1 stat and 1 hp is a defference.
i give out the info for them to decide if it makes a differnce
or not wich it does.
if it doesnt then all the + stat point from items arent worth
it.
when i pvp u learn first thing "every point counts"
words of a champion.

PvP in WoW is based purely on skill not on stats

1 point makes a difference at level 1. At higher levels you will have so much +stat items that you usually won't notice the difference of just 1 more.

So you have a 0.0001% chance more to crit than me...good job.

*********

if thats the case dont wear armour.
hell, u just lost using no sword.
cmon man.
think!
when u do anything its the skill that wins but u have to have
a foundation.
that foundation is the points u racked up threw items and lvls.
its the friggen points.

2 people same skill start a fight.
1 had a couple more points. who wins?

If the amount of points one person has over the other is only 1, then it is luck of the draw. That is considering they are of the same skill and same level/equip/whatever.

PvP is not based only on skill. In WoW it seems to be more dependant on gear. Skill will make up for some lack of gear, but the better geared toon will usually win. Not always... greater skill can overcome. Just usually.

Gear WILL make or break a toon in PvP.

(Note: I played my entire time in beta on a PvP server.)

1 point wont that much a differnce.
were taling nightelves vs gnome.

but if r talkking vs a orc.
oorc has 3 more points whoopie.
those three points covert into 40+ hp each max lvl.
thats hmm 120hp.

is 120 hp worht it?
this is why there is winners and why there is losers.
one has the mindset that ahh its only 1 point.
but i have always excelled at everything i do.
thats because i realize i need to figure things out myslef
instead of taking advise from an average player.

dude the reason the gear makes u good is cause it adds stats.
if u have a bunch of gear that didnt add any stats ud lose horribly unless u were newb killing.

In conclusion: pick whatever you want, everything else is just for kicks.
#18 Nov 23 2004 at 5:27 AM Rating: Default
also the dwarves hp wich is almost twice the gnomes is
just for kicks too.
only 50% more.
very minor.

dont u guys see how dumb u sound?
there is a differnce of what u pick at the beggining.
certain thing are WAY differnt and only newbs pick
classes and races blindly.

^^ Smiley: oyvey You should see how dumb you sound. This is not a game of cookie-cutter classes. Yes dwarves have more stamina and strength but gnomes have more agility.

Both races have equal playability

ur talking stats points again.
the drarf is gunna hit a little harder
and the gnome is gunna dodge a little better.
probley even basically.
but when i say dwarves start out with 85 hp
and gnomes start out with 45.
thats almost a 50% differnce.
the so called eqaulity of the 2 has made a dramatic jump
to the dwarves favor.

really, do u understand what im saying here?

#26 Nov 23 2004 at 5:48 AM Rating: Decent
u edited before i posted..

when someone says the "differnce" that mean subraction
not "to" wich means addition.
