You can't. Suck it up, you're a pally. That's how the cookie crumbles. It's not "honorable".

Oooook... paladin's can't, I repeat cannot, train in ranged weaponry. At any level, for any amount of money. No more than a Rogue can train in two handed weaponry.

Yeah Paladins have no ranged attack. Blizzard said they were powerful enough already. Have fun trying to pull mobs. :)

Thanks for that info guys, my bro was really bugging me about it. i'm naturally a hunter and when he is seeing me shoot at all the guys to lure them to him, he got kind of jealous i guess. but anyways, thanks for all the help, and maybe it will keep him off my back.

I think a paly could pull using the 6 second invincibility ability. If he pulls more than the group - or self can handle - just keep running till the mobs give up. Not elegant, but doable if you are solo - or in a party without a natural puller.

Pulling as a pally isn't exaclty pulling. It's slowly walking up to the mob until he catches your scent, then withdrawing back-away from possible adds. It's not a good way to pull, but worked for me in many situations, including the Stockades.

But the extra 2 or 3 swings you get before the party starts working on the mob helps keep hate on you.

Yeah but you better have some good aim. An AoE isn't the best thing in the world to be pulling with. Better off with dragging your pull to safety.

The lack of a ranged pulling attack is the one thing I don’t like about the paladin. And yes, the paladin is the ONLY class without such an ability. *sigh*

I was going to have my paladin alt take up mining and smithing. But I think I’ll make a warrior to do the smithing and try out engineering on my paladin. Even if explosives don’t work out well for pulling, I’ll still be able to make a lot of fun items.

Pulling monsters with a Paladin is like pulling teeth. You have to be more sneaky than a Rogue when you're trying to pull a single aggro monster from a group of them that link. Sheesh, I have no idea how many times I've got swarmed and killed by Defias in Westfall when my Paladin got a million adds from nowhere...

I don't think those area effect engineering bombs will help very much, but if you do plan to go that route for pulling, go for the bombs and not dynamite. Bombs do less damage, add a bit of stun and have a smaller radius. The stun might be helpful if someone walks into the radius of the AOE, giving you a headstart as you head for the hills.
