World of Warcraft KeyFollow

#1 Nov 22 2004 at 5:52 PM Rating: Decent
I've read this in another post of how someone's asking for a key to World of Warcraft when they buy it. I'm not asking for one, but I was wondering, how many people can play at the same time using 1 key? Will it be like starcraft where you can play 4 people on the same key at the same time?

One at a time. There is a 30-day trial key included to give to a friend, but that is it's own key afaik.

The Collector's Edition comes with a key for a 10-day trial, which is what you may have seen people asking for. The actual registration key will only allow one account to be created.

I just hope its not like FFXI where u can only have one account registered to a key and then the key is useless.

Pretty sure that is exactly how it works-- key is tied to that one account.

Isn't that how every online game works? For one CD key, you get one account (with multiple sub accounts or characters) but only one can be logged in at a time. Sorry if u were expecting otherwise but that's industry standard.

But...that one key supports 40 characters, so, it's nothing like FFXI save the fact that you only get one per game box.
